What is so funny is that there are some low IQ people that would blame climate change for the the weather in Thailand.

Why is there not an international criminal investigation of the Catholic Church?
Why?
You will never hear of a CEO giving their life to serve the sick and pook in a leper colony. That you focus on the evil that men do and not the good that Christians have done throughout history speaks volumes about you.

Sh*t, Bert M, you have me tagged totally, apart from a rather smart p/up in the drive - my SO's pride and joy. Anyway, it's fairly obvious the 800k requirement is designed to prop up the Thai economy, and has little to do with actual spending. Personally, I think it's gonna hurt when all the UK expats go home. My sister has a room ready, ha! Can't say I really disagree, it's probably better to spend the money in the home economy rather than waste it here for personal enjoyment. Four dogs and an SO are gonna miss me though, and I have some other income streams coming online, just not now. By the way, my spending here has been way over the 800,000 benchmark, and probably would be in the future. But you can't spend it and have it hanging around in a bank.
The 2017 Thai GDP is nearly $500 billion (dollars). If there are 100K expats living in Thailand each with ฿800K (baht) in a Thai bank account it would be a couple percent of the GDP. Not much of a prop up. Furthermore, you claim to spend ฿800K (baht) is that a year? And yet you can't save ฿800K (baht)? You and the guy that claims he spends ฿8000 baht a month should get together and compare budgets and spending habits. LOL

Come on guys get real...
The vast majority of Thai women I see are in great shape compared to their western counterparts. Western women use child birth as an excuse to eat out of control.
Thai culture has produced a woman that is attractive to a man, inside and out.
In the west the woman has devolved into a creature that wants botox in her face, silicon in her ass and someone else's money in her wallet.
I just spent a week in Phuket and seeing these big fat white asses on young western girls was sickening to me.
Long Live the King!

?? The dream of gender diverse people in Thailand to marry their loved ones and get the same benefits and rights as straight couples is still far from becoming reality??
<deleted>?
Gender is defined as the state of being male or female.
Diverse is defined as showing a great deal of difference.
So when a man marries a woman by definition that is a gender diverse couple.

it's heartbreaking to see Africans and their inability to create a stable, free, safe society. They have failed to coalesce and advance as people despite being shown the way by so many good and kind people from the West. They literally have a culture of killing with no change insight. The best most of them can do is flee from their homes and hope the civilizations of the West will provide for them. If not for the generosity and kindness of Christians the majority of them would simply suffer then die. S.Africa will soon collapse and the atrocities that the African people are well known for will destroy another generation. RIP Africans.

Very curious. As I think about my entire life experience I can not recall when I was allowed to live for free or my care provider lost money while I lived with them.. Opps I forgot about my childhood. Now I get your logic. Hey maybe you can go live with your mother and father again?

I keep hearing the ฿800K will be going up to ฿ 1 Million. Not sure if there will be a change for those that are married to a Thai.

Hats Off to Chiang Mai Immigration!
in Chiang Mai
Posted · Edited by Peasandmash
I've never had a problem with Thai immigration services in ChiangMai. Sure I've had to wait for more than an hour more than once for visa renewal and I've even had to wake up early a few times. But in reality, when these are my biggest problems, I know I should be focusing on all that I have to be grateful for. Long Live the King and Long Live the Kingdom of Thailand.
and BTW FG-man, thanks for the report ???? it looks like I have even more to be grateful for this year ????
