Beer bars can't open makes no sense at all.
Also, why can people watch concerts, but not sports events.
(You can watch concerts but don't sing along!)
You can hum though

Why don't you contact the airline you normally use?, they will have the information as soon as it's available. Normally on this site they can't even agree what day it is

Got my bill end of April, 2,820 (about average) and it was discounted down to 1,880.
Near enough the same bill and discount end of May.
The missus contacted the electricity office and they said the discount will continue for 4 months. More beer money

In the meantime i opened a foreign currency account with Kasikorn, Periodically i transfer pounds from Barclays to Kasikorn and it is held in Kasikorn in pounds so it's up to me when i will exchange for baht, if and when the exchange rate improves,

Hi All, this question has been asked before but i haven't seen a clear reply yet, please help.
I live in Thailand on an extension of a non imm O (retirement).
My 90 day report (not renewal) is due on 10th May at Jomtien, am i covered by the amnesty? Simply, do i have to report? yes or no.
Thanks in advance

I have a friend in the UK post meds to me every 3 months, normal wait is 11 - 12 days. I have received 1 package since this pandemic began and it took 25 days. Obviously postage price depends on weight, my packages are 90 day supply of tablets, sent recorded delivery and costs £9.60 each time. In 4 years i've never had 1 go missing

I like a drink and i'll just stock up before the ban comes into effect so i'm not bothered about it. What does bother me are the sactimonious teetotal brigade who like to gloat and tell everyone about their fantastic healthy lifestyle. I'm not interested in your lifestyle, stop taking such an interest in mine.

Why should he be charged by a Thai hospital?
He didn't declare he had the virus, the Thais decided he may have and so quarantined him. Hardly his fekn fault

I'm a "relative" newcomer to Thailand. Been coming here for 14 years and retired here 4 years ago.
I use the Jomtien office for my extensions. While i sympathise with anyone being messed about at immigration offices i have to say that the longest time i have spent at the Jomtien office for yearly extension is 35 minutes and the longest for 90 day report is 20 minutes. Long may that continue

Then, I guess, all those other negotiations for all those other trade deals just waiting to be had. Hmm.. I wonder how people are going to feel seeing Johnson going cap in hand to Trump for a deal, assuming that Trump is still President.
Congrats to those who wanted to leave the EU; it seems that you are going get your wish.
That said, I can't shake the feeling that Brits, or what is left of the UK in 5 years, are going to look back at this day with great sadness. I suspect it'll be known as the day when it all really fell apart.
For the sake of my British friends, I sincerely hope that I am wrong, but...
Don't worry about it, you are wrong

The safest way to drive in Thailand is, look at any vehicle near you, think of the stupidest thing they could possibly do and then wait for them to do it, also learn defensive driving, create a bubble around yourself and maintain it.

I live in Thailand on a retirement extension but occasionally work on projects around SE Asia. My salary is taxed in the country i earned it and then transferred to my Kasikorn account. There is no tax liability in Thailand for money you earned abroad and then transferred here
