Fingers crossed this happens, and gets rolled out everywhere. The cynic in me thinks that they struggle with water and electric supply, fibre optics will be a slow rollout unless there is a lot of profit in it for them. There must be a lot of Thai users screaming for better international bandwith access too.

Most condo building sell the farang quota no problem, and this half is paying cash. Gives the developer a nice healthy profit, to build his next half empty building !!!

When i have visited Markland in the past the lifts are really ancient and slow. A friend renting there once complained it was infested with ants too. Much better options around town now. Back of the Avenue, VT6 etc

If no construction permit was ever issued, sounds like these buyers never did any due diligence before buying .....caveat emptor

Believe this is Roxy A Go Go ? he has been a hoster and greeter in there a long time. Am sure he was a manager, not the owner. This incident will certainly be a wake call to all those unofficial managers on a salary, you need to arrange a work permit as part of your contract with the owner. If your serious about this as a long term job, its not worth taking the shortcut. I hope Jason will be able to "negotiate" a way forward with the BIB !!

Couple of years on the noticeboard there was always half a dozen units for sale, the last 3 - 4 months there have 25--30 for sale with owners trying to bale out of the building. Some of them don't have realistic prices what their units are worth. One agent recently had an open viewing on a front unit 117m view, great views but listed at 23,750,000 baht, yep that's right !!

Needless to say it didn't sell, and has now been reduced. At a co-owners meeting before Xmas police were called after fighting broke out !! One of Pattaya's 5star building lol.
