This is funny, LindsayBKK had 1 break down, jeebusjones had 1 break down, vanalli had 1 break down. Only from this thread, there are 3 break down already with Jack’s bus.

I did my visa run with ThaiVisaRun Company on Tuesday, a Romanian girl was only given 30 days on a TR Visa, she was very upset, and she was given 60 days on the previous entry.

At borders, they still give UK, EU, US, and ASEAN passport holders 60 days if you have a TR visa.

Emmigration clerk at border:

"Hmmm... stamp numbers being within the last 180 days no. 45,46,47 adds up to 65 days so he can get 25 days stamp, but 10 days into that 25 days the stamp number 45 is halfway out of the 180 day period so he can get...hmmm...." Will be fun to watch!

this new rule won't last more than 180 days. it says from Oct 1 in 6 months period, that is the life time of this new rule. to continue, they have to make a new 6 months period.

Here is the report of the visa run trip yesterday.

The bus left 09:30, 13:28 arrived at the border, and it was very quiet and peaceful. 14:00 on the way back, 18:00 in Bangkok. Nothing seems really changed.

Had to renew my visa earlier this time, I used ThaiVisaRun company again on Sunday for a border run, no problem.

My neighbor is on the same trip today, will report soon when he is back.

Driving to Banlaem by your own car, it will cost you 2,000 baht patrol, 1,000 baht visa, and 8 hours driving.

less than 4 hours trip, try to be there before 8:30 am or after 4:30 pm.

Hat Yai is very safe place to stay, most people there are chinese. food is very nice and cheap.

Came back from Cambodia for my first visa run in Bangkok. Compare with the one in Ranong, it was fine, better than I thought, the trip was smooth and comfortable.

The guy, who runs the ThaiVisaRun service told me, I could do this as often as I like. Is that true? No rules or restrictions?

I would guess the guy who charges 1,800 baht must use a NGV for the transportation.
