  1. I'm based in Udon thani and the passport office here is at Central Festival shopping mall but used to be at the city amphur, most city's around Thailand will have a similar set up, I know its possible to find the local passport office and even book an appointment online but my wife sorted all that out but I'll attempt to get a link later but it won't be much good to you if like me your Thai reading skills are not the best.
  2. Daughter was 8 months first passport and 6 years old on her renewal which my wife just done 2 months ago, my son was 5 at the time of his passport, I was only present during my son's passport and did not sign anything.
  3. Thai passports are very easy to obtain and take barely a couple days to arrive after applying. I never had to sign for my daughter or son to get they're passports done, your wife must have a thai passport so she should allready know the process, the cost is only about 1000 baht.
  4. Sounds like a scam from the hospital, Myself my wife and 3 kids all got sick with covid when we returned from a trip and were in a pretty bad way for around 5 days, my wife went through all the correct channels and we were given medicine, tests some other equipment such as heart rate monitors and temperature tests and of course being Thailand a lot of paperwork, not 1 baht was asked even from me the Farang. For reference this was in Udon Thani.
  5. Never gunna happen here the BIB are not fond of work here, not long back a random drunk broke into the village heads house about 3am where I live, they called the police and were told the guy has done nothing wrong and they cannot do anything. I could mention many other incidents and just the general view from the locals themselves is that the police are useless here and will only appear when they have something to gain.
  6. Bitkub is definitely a massive pain in the *** but after I think 5 attempts they eventually called me to ask some questions then my verification came through so maybe some more persistence can work for you.
  7. This is spot on, my wifes father is a construction manager for a big company and anyone in the village can jump in his truck and go to work for 450-550 a day but its only the old men and women while they end up paying to support they're deadbeat kids drink or gambling habits.
  8. What terrible hardened criminals, how dare they celebrate a party and enjoy themselves. Big payday for the boys in brown, hope they spray whatever baht they take with sanitizer from all the dirty foreign criminals......
  9. I also agree and hiding away in a village is what I have been doing since this mess began but I'm not gunna lie it's getting bit tireing now especially having the kids at home full time due to school closures but it stills feels like the better option during these ridiculous times.
