There's a Nissan Skyline for sale in Chiang Mai. Recently rebuilt. Was a runner when I saw it before the rebuild. Seeing it was my only input and I'm not involved with the company. If you have 10 million available to spend, the vendor will bend to your circumstance. Just show them a singular line of a Thai bank statement which validates your ability to pay. Properties are 10 for a penny at the moment. Can't blame any-one desiring a deposit if the funds weren't in Thailand already. Funds are determined by the sum of transfers into Thailand at a particular time. If you didn't have the funds available and wouldn't trust a vendor with a deposit, why would you trust them at all? Co-incident with a trip to Bangkok, we're planning to visit in 2 weeks time to see friends. Their hotel, which we usually stay at isn't expending opening costs until they can see the promised light at the end of the tunnel. On 2 occasions the batteries that powered the lights inside the tunnel failed and they aren't alone. We're going anyways, staying at a mainstream hotel and visiting them. Have been warned that very few places will be open. A real shame if it isn't better than that. If the promised panacea isn't apparent this time, it's gonna damage the place for a heck of a long time.
