  1. A whopping 39 cases in Banglamung (Pattaya) today. Not sure what number they want to see before allowing our restaurant industry to begin serving alcohol. Below 5 maybe ??
  2. With all due respect Sir, I am on an extension of stay from an original Non-OA issued 10 years ago from my embassy and I am required to have the 40/400 K insurance since 2020. I have not read anything, anywhere that indicates I will exempt (this time) from the proposed increase to 3MM and that this additional insurance will only apply to new embassy or consulate applications.
  3. I had thought about asking for Pfizer myself as the 2nd jab but things moved so fast when I got there I forgot, so I appreciate you doing so and posting what the answer would have been.
  4. I think you could go any time, any day up to and including your original appointment day. Trust me, they are fully staffed and appear looking for customers LOL. I called 1772 and a couple of button pushes and one transfer and a fellow answered my query. Also if it helps I drove and used their parkade for this jab vs. BTS etc..
  5. Can't answer that question but had my 2nd AZ jab today (Sept 7th) which was also moved up two weeks at PT2. Just luck that I saw it had been changed in the Mor prom app (in Thai) as no text msg this time. I did call them yesterday and they confirmed it was now today. Unlike first visit it was absolutely not busy - literally less than 10 minutes from time I arrived on 9 until seated in the 30 minute waiting room. I have a feeling many are not aware that their 2nd appointment has changed.
  6. Wondering what hospital. I'm do up for my 2nd AZ at Phyathai 2 in two weeks and would like the Pfizer 2nd jab option but can live with the AZ.
  7. "One corollary of my experience is to prove that Thai computers do not speak to each other." I'm curious if you have downloaded the Mor Prom App and checked what is in the government system under your (new) Thai Id number. I think you might be surprised that they are fully aware of what shot's you have had, where and when. That may (or may not) come back and bite you.
  8. So 99.4 % of the deaths were attributed to people who were either 1) Not vaxed, 2) Not fully vaxed, or 3) Fully vaxed with something other than Astra Zeneca ? A link to that study in your article would be very useful.
  9. Can you provide your source that the second dose could be Sinovac. I've heard of facilities now using AZ after Sinovac, but that is known upfront and that second appointment is usually 3 or 4 weeks after the first. I have not heard of any instances when you show up for the 2nd AZ jab appointment (yes it is after 12 weeks) where they have done (or plan to do ) a switch from what is on your appointment slip and you are only offered Sinovac. If your source is creditable I will look into obtaining a Pfizer vaccine as my second jab.
  10. Struggling a bit believing these numbers. It implies roughly only 16% of Brit's and 11% of Americans have received even a first dose vaccine. Would have thought by now it would have been much higher. The French and Japanese numbers look in line though.
  11. I'm scheduled for my 2nd jab at Phyathai-2 mid September. OK with it being AZ but if Pfizer is offered by that time will take that. Studies I've scanned are showing that particular AZ/Pfizer combo is equally effective as two MRNA's jabs when it comes to antibodies, and for T-cell response is proving superior - the later may be what is needed to fight off Lambda and newer variants.
