  1. I'm going to need a new non O multiple entry based on marriage.  I was looking at the evisa site and looks easy.  Anything I should know about applying for the evisa through the Washington DC embassy.  I'm planning on flying back to the United States for 2 weeks in September and not sure if I will have time to get out of Thailand to do it in a nearby country.  I'm assuming for the financial documents they want a copy of my bank statement showing 400k.  No seasoning would be required?

  2. Appears all the amphur around Thailand are doing this now. The reason they say is covid and a lot of foreigners marrying Thais. I'd have no problem waiting 2 months but the single affidavit they said is only valid for 60 days and it took 45 days to get it back from the ministry of foreign affairs. So that gives me only 15 days to either marry or to start the process over again. I guess that means I need to just give in and get an agent to take us.

  3. Last landlord I had refused to fix most things. Septic tank finally went and she was forced to fix it. Wanted me to pay for it. I refused. Air conditioner went refused to fix it. I had to purchase a new one and I kept the old one, then when I left I took my new air conditioner with me and had the old one that didn't work reinstalled.

My new landlord will fix anything I have a problem with. She is even building a swimming pool for me just need to pay additional rent once the pool is finished.

  4. I am looking to get married but my local amphur where I got divorced refuses to marry a thai/American couple unless I go through their agent who charges 15000 baht. I have all the documents already and don't see a need to do that. I'm looking for a foreigner friendly amphur in Thailand. Another problem is that my single paper expires August 14 since only valid for 60 days and it took 45 days to get certified by ministry of foreign affairs.

  5. Just came from Jomtien they made me redo my tm30 in person and said that I can not do my own tm30 now. Must be done by the owner of the house not the possessor.

Also they said that the owner "a Thai" must do a tm30 for herself as well. Seems to me they have no idea what's going on and just want to increase foreigner frustration.

  6. No debit card is being issued by moneygram. I would pay moneygram for example 1000 dollars and I select either bank deposit which is slow or debit card deposit. By selecting debit card deposit I then give them my kasikorn debit card number rather than my bank account number for deposit into my account which would be almost instant. I'd be able to back this up with receipts showing this conversion. Would this be accepted by immigration for proof of my bringing 40,000 Baht a month into Thailand for a marriage visa?

  7. Does anyone know how a money transfer would be coded to kasikorn bank using moneygram transfer from the United States using debit card deposit. It's supposedly would be completed in minutes and has a decent exchange rate. They only allow debit card deposits to Visa cards and my Bangkok bank and Siam bank are both mastercard.

Looking to use the deposits for a marriage extension once I get remarried.

Wise doesn't want my business for some reason so they are not an option.
