I am not bashing Pattaya........I lived there 10 yrs before moving to Chiang Mai.

What does Pattaya have to offer beyond the obvious to any tourist?

Pattaya serves one purpose and beyond that if there is something to draw tourists please tell me what it is because I must have missed it.

its polluted with slimy sludge between your toes when u put your foot down.

They don’t spend anything and opt for the cheapest hotel room they can find..........how is that a last hosp.

Decades of no maintenance or improvement of infrastructure is taking its toll along with other factors.

You absolutely can, just did my own in Chiang Mai on Nov 18.

Dont take que on first floor.

Go directly to 3rd floor, you will be given que there.

First time for TM 30:

Copy of Passport

Arrival Card

TM-30 Form
 

Second time and after:

No copies

No Form
Just your Passport, they enter new info into computer and will hand write update on the T M 30 receipt in your Passport.

For 14 yrs now I do all aspects of any Immigration issues myself, but one thing Thai Immigration needs is:

A concise Checklist of each document required for each Visa type.

I always figure it out by trial and error but I have yet to find a central concise ACCURATE Checklist of what is required.

I did my own TM-30 in Chiang Mai Nov 18, literally took less than a minute.
 

For your first one you need TM-30 Form and copies.
 

if you have an existing TM-30 all you need is Passport, no copies, no Form.

In Chiang Mai DO NOT get que on ground floor, go directly to 3rd Floor, you get TM-30 que up there.

Came home, logged in, then let my wife a Register and in a few minutes had Username and Password

First.......go from Beach Road to the dark side of Sukhumvit and completely upgrade every utility and put all wires in duct banks underground.

Install all new storm drainage with pump stations  and treatment plants to end flooding.

Sooooo much must be done first before any Tram system is needed.

Had BBB 100 Mbps, they upgraded us for free over 2 yrs ago.

I have ZERO complaints and they have excellent service.

BUT, I swear they play with the speed, some days I check the speed it is between 40-75........which is significantly more than you need.

But if I am paying 200, I want close to 200......knowing that in most cases you never get the number you pay for as many conditions effect what actually reaches your Modem.

On slow speed days, we have called them, Techs come same day, before they arrive I have 45 Mbps and when they arrive, just like Magic I now have 220-247 Mbps.

Most people don’t understand Speedtest, how to do one or what the data means so they can charge you for 100 or 200 or more and only give you 20-40 Mbps and 9 out of 10 would never know.

To do a Speedtest........Google.  ADSL Thailand and click that circle gives you your a Download and Upload speeds.

Thats Rocketship speeds.........334/ Download and 257/ Upload........highest numbers I ever saw.

Did mine in C M a few months ago, no charge and in and out in 20 minutes.

you can get a sliding bolt lock you can screw into window frame, easier than a permanent screwed bracket

1/2 of the mess of wires are long since abandoned but there is no money in removing them........so they leave them in place and run new ones as needed

I do not understand how anyone could not know about the money requirement with the amount of talk that’s going on here about that and even if you’re not on Thai visa if you talk to any other ex-pat they’re going to tell you about it
