  1. Ive always known that all men should get the procedure done at 50. What about women? Should I be telling her to get it done at 50 as well? thanks
  2. Do you mind if I ask how much? After taking the first 1 litre of the solution at 7pm I could not take the second one. It didnt take effect for an hour or longer with me. By 11pm I was sleeping and woke up at 5am for the second litre. My procedure was at 11am and I think the golden rule is not to take fluids 6 hours prior. it was a horrible experience all round... 6 polyps found and out
  3. Change clinics and find a dentist who is jai dee. Not so money orientated. We have friends who own a clinic in a big tourist city. One dentist working for them is really agressive with cross selling like you describe. The assistants dont like working with that dr. The only reason the boss will not get rid of him is because he does make so much money for the clinic. But they worry about their reputation of course.
  4. I've had an assessment appt for a colonoscopy in a private hospital and they gave me the 'Niflec' laxative and fact sheet in advance. I don't know if I was having communication issues but the dr seemed to imply that I had 2 choices regarding the pre op preparation. 1. was to have final dinner at 4pm the day prior and then at 6pm take the niflec for 2 hours. Then from midnight onwards no food or liquids 2. day before only have liquids. 7am morning of procedure take the nifec for 2 hours until 9am and then get the camera up the butt at 11am. Im confused as to why there are 2 options. It seems that number 2 would be a lot better rather than feel nausea all night from option 1. Am I missing something? Finally, dr said that he would get injection for light sedation. Is this the same as general anesthetic. Can one opt to have nothing and just grin and bear it? thanks
  5. Your not in control of your private keys and have no control over your tokens at all. Its highly risky to do this for such a piddly return
  6. Im not here to win an argument or anything. But I thought I would let you know that I try out staking a small amount of ethereum on kraken. Getting to the end of the 'validation' they made me click ok to a message (disclaimer) that by staking with them there are no guarantees. The message actually says that I could lose the funds (if ether 2.0 doesnt proceed). I was shocked to read this. But I proceeded anyway as it was just a small amount. I rate Kraken highly and have used them for yrs. But it does support my theory that staking your tokens is a fools game for a pissy return. You are not in control of your private keys when its locked up with an unknown entity.
  7. Get real mate. 12% is nothing when you take into account the HUGE returns on just holding either bitcoin or ethereum, for example, in a hardware wallet and selling yrs down the track. eg 500% returns in 1 yr in pure gains from price appreciation. Its madness to lockaway ANY crypto for such piddly returns 6.5 to 12%. Just think about this.... You can lose your money when its locked away!!!!
  8. Actually, your advice applies to ALL exchanges. One would have to be barking mad to leave any crypto on an exchange. Actually, on a related note, I cant believe all the investors staking their ethereum with various exchanges and companies. For such a small return with huge risk I think its really stupid. But personally Im glad that they have all done it as its causing a supply shock in the lead up to Ether 2 being released. Now because of this and the fact they are are burning ether on a daily basis (london hard fork) I think there will be a HUGE run up in price this yr up to feb next yr. Wait for all the investors to have access to their ethereum (unlocked) and see a huge sell off.
  9. A mate of mine was asked by Bitkub crypto exchange to do a telephone interview to pass level 2 verification. Im also a member of bitkub and only hold level 1. I found it odd that they would ask him. If anyones had such a call with them what did they ask. Im intrigued to know... I cant find the crypto forum. Please move it there thanks
  10. We are on a weekend away and walking around a scenic water reservoir area with nice views. I started to see a huge ripple on the water surface and recorded a video as it looked like a snake. Sure enough it was a huge long one estimated 4m long or more. I dont know what species it was as we were near the edge where it finished its journey and we swiftly moved on. What type of snake is this? IMG_8792.mp4 IMG_8792.MOV
  11. I clearly didn't put enough detail in my post above. But I do get love from my child. Its all I really care about now. I dont know what to say really about the friends situation or lack there of. I dont live in a tourist city and hard to meet any farang here. Have tried with little success. I think my personality doesnt fit into Thailand to be honest.
  12. I previously posted a thread about: Last night after our child went to bed I had a talk with the missus. Something along the lines that we have a lack of intimacy in our relationship. Im certainly not feeling the love anymore. She gets love from our child. I get it from our dog when he licks my hand at feeding time. I told her I can't help but look at other women now and worry about where things are heading. Actually I feel unhappy living in Thailand at the moment. I have no friends in this city where I live. I've tried but most other westerners keep to themselves. Impossible to find Thai friends. A few hours ago I sent a message to my mate in Scotland asking if we can have a chat on the phone. Oh sorry he says 'Im out with my mates playing golf today'. I miss Europe a lot and with my marriage crumbling around me I feel I cannot return home because I dont want to leave my child. My wife told me its over 100% if I play up with another woman. I dont know whether I should go for a divorce. I have no where to live if booted out, no friends. I think I just need to sit tight until this china virus issue is well and truly over. What do you think?
  13. Im sure you are a nice smelling, fit, young, virile foreigner that can speak thai?
  14. Or just pay 4000 a year for a cash box at the local bank. I think this is a lot more secure
  15. ETF's are hard to sell in a market crash. The perth mint guarantee to buy back your gold if there's no other buyers in the market (ie if there are liquidity issues). Its a solid organization backed by the WA govt. Sold my gold and they transferred all money to my thai bank account. Cant go wrong...
  16. I bought it via their online depository program and sold it. They then wired it to my thai bank account. Its guaranteed by the perth govt. highly recommended
  17. the money is over there doing nothing but being eaten away by inflation. I previously had it in gold at the perth mint but sold it after a 40% return. Now I dont know what to do with it
  18. Divorce is not on the cards yet as such but Im just thinking in advance..... If things go pear shaped and we had a nasty divorce in the courts, could it result in me losing 50% of my savings in the bank? I've heard about the law here that all assets accumulated after getting married are subject to 50% split. I was thinking about sending funds over here from the motherland and thus wanted to know what the law is regarding this matter. If things are friendly when we split one could assume that I would be safe. Or if I did have large savings I could just send it to my bitkub account and buy bitcoin and then off it goes to a hardware wallet. Good luck trying to get that off me... Any advice is appreciated
  19. Ever since our little one was born I've been sleeping in the spare bedroom. My wifes mother was around a lot helping with the baby and they were all sleeping in the marital bedroom. Now my boy is 6 and they are co-sleeping still. Thankfully the inlaws havent come to stay for ages due to the covid situation. Last year I set up a kids room but he has never migrated across. I think it was Maggie Thatcher who said 'those who sleep apart grow apart'. I tend to agree with this. Im not feeling the love anymore. Recently I told both of them things have to change but of course they haven't. I think in a western country it would deemed to be rather odd for a 6 yr old to be still sleeping in mummies bed. But maybe in Thailand its normal. Anyone else have experiences with this?
  20. I've not had any contact with a governor in the cities I've resided in. I wanted to know what sort of power do these people have exactly? Can they have any impact on local businesses? Whats their role exactly? Before they make decisions do they have to get approval from a committee within the local government or is it only down to them. I read the governor or Burriam province stating that he wanted to make it mandatory for all people in his province to get the covid vaccine. Did he have to get approval from anyone to make this call or does he have god-like power?? Surely he has to consult and get approval from the local health office before making such an important decision. 10 yrs ago I lived in a city in Isan and I remember many thais telling me the governor, at the time, was no good implying he was a bit corrupt. In the current city where we live the gossip is that this guy is very strict and will not bend the rules (and thats the reason why people dont like him!). Like any politician (anywhere in the world) people will form their own opinions. Therefore one would presume that they cant just do whatever they want as the general population living in the city will form their own opinions and eventually vote the person out. Finally, do they only get one term in office or can they rule forever if they keep getting voted in? Thanks for educating me on this matter. Im interested to hear any experiences or gossip that you've personally heard of within your current province.
