Arrivals, not visitors - big difference
Tourism is almost up in 40 million per year. I call that visitor, while you may call them residents if you wish to.

I have a full grip. But how about if I paint my house? Tend to my farm? Put new shingles on my roof? Have a yard sale? It is highly unlikely and will never happen I would think, but in this whacky place it could happen.
Nothing much will happen. I have almost buildt all our house from the ground fully in the open. No problem whatsoever. After that I have been chnging all electric in my wife parents house in her home village togheter with 2 Thai guy to help me.
Just a lot of scare and overrated BS talk.

And really, you actually don't see the odd things we as foreigners are put through by the people in charge. It is all their game and how they interpret their rules their way.
Really?? So, you live here and belive that you will be accused for working if you sell your car???? Hillarious!
Stop with the nonsense! You will not be accused for working if you cut your own grass or if you clean your car or anything else that has to do with normal things in life. Get a grip on reality.- 5

It is one of the basic tenets of a civilised society
Ok, then you are just saying that Thailand is not a civilized society. I do believe that most of the worlds experts and educated persons would disagree with you.

Great! Just another area that has grown rapidly in the last years that needs cleaning up. It´s right. Coming here and working to earn your possibility to stay is illegal without a work permit. Just rack´em up and deport them.

What are they thinking? Are they seriously overestimating their product?
You might think that, but appearently not according to approx. 40 million visitors.

What so you want us to answer? Would be nice to say where you are, to be able to get advice from start.
The best answer you will get know is: In a motorcycle rental place.
But then again, I guess you knew that already.- 1

Mostly you do not have to do anything about the dogs. They are just there to bark, and I just continue to walk and never had a problem.

Maybe there's nothing I can do and a bunch of men will tell me, "Go back to your country if you can't handle it."
I surely hope nobody will do that, but you never know on this forum. ????

So I am guessing, judging by your response, that you also use a multiple entry non O.
Your guess is wrong. At the moment I am on an extension. Call it marriage or my two children. I give all my info to my IO.
6 minutes ago, lkv said:The usage of the multi non O this way is still tolerated, but this visa has been invented for short visits to wife, as we all know. To stay with the wife, it's called "extension of stay".
A Non-O SE have never been invented for use as a short visit for wife. That you would use an exempt entry and a 60 day extension for, which would also bring it up to 90 days.
6 minutes ago, lkv said:They are just limiting the usage at Consular level, (i.e. London and others stopped issuing it as a multi), instead of doing it at border level, and rejecting people.
UK is in a state of themself. Totally incoherent to the rest of the world. Probaly because of Brexit. ????

Yeah, but Poi Pet sucks big time!

Yeah, that´s right. That is also what I try to state all the time. You have the right visa and a valid reson to stay full time in the country, you will have no problem and get served with respect.
Welcome back, Sir! ???? -

He is not asking you. In his world, you are insignificant.

So if i do get pull-aside by the supervisor there's still a chance they will just gimme a warning and let me go??
If you go with a SETV your chances get better, but truthfully they sound very slim. Yes, there is always a chance that they will let it slide with a warning. ????

That means by asking you to 'wind your neck in' you misunderstood that he was saying the opposite of what you purported.
Nope, he always tells me to have a different opinion than the one I have.

The German commented that if everyone chipped in and did their bit that would help to keep it pleasant to live in.
Good Luck, to make that one fall down and be understood. They just think it´s better to praise the foreigner instead, It´s only work for one anyway.

What´s strange with that? He has the title Deputy Police Chief, which give him a higher salury.
However, good luck for him surviving that mess. Little bit amulett and little bit luck is a good combination. Hope he gets home to his family quick.- 1

Both my passports show that i haven't stay in the country all that long but since the IO can see i have duo citizenship on the system am I likely to get denied entry as immigration seems to get stricter??
But, You just wrote that you stayed 14 month and only been away about 6 weeks during that time? Right?
You must understand that your passports are linked togheter by your indentity, face and fingerprints in the biometric system. That means it is what both your passports show togheter that your possible entry is going to be based on. Not what shows in one of the passports.
It doesn´t matter what passport you are going to use. There is going to be a big chance that you are taken aside and might be denied entry. On the other side, you might ask yourself a classic Clint Eastwood quote changed to fit Thai Immigration: Do you believe you have been staying to many days in the country, or is there one chance left? You have to ask yourself. Do you feel lucky, punk?
Just a joke full of coke ???? Good Luck, man.- 1

If I apply around the 15th Feb, could I expect it to be done by the first few days or March?
That´s very optimistic. I do not know the exact timeframe for Jomtien, but normally they allow 30 days for the application to be approved. However, the only thing I´ve heard is that mostly people have to wait over that time. But, then again. Somebody using this office will be more qualified then me to answer. ????

11 minutes ago, ThomasThBKK said:Guess why you don't go to jail for overstaying, because it's not a criminal offence....
Yes, you do! The only thing is that they separate it, and put a name IDC instead. You are locked up and actually not even let out to see the day of light as normal prisoners. The only difference is that you are allowed to make calls at specific times and clear up your mess by yourself regarding money and ticket to pay and fly home.
If you can´t. Bad luck, then you will stay locked up. If you ain´t call that jail, I will suggest you try it out for yourself.
Actually many overstayers are also held locked up in police stations before they are finally transferred to IDC. That´s the part of jail that goes under the name arrest.- 1
