LOL. Till corona lockdown no visa exempt tourist could stay more than 60 days to my knowledge ( 30 + 30 ), so the situation never arose.

Of course anyone staying more than 90 days needs to do a 90 day report.

The 90 days report is designed for people on long stay visas with a registered address in Thailand. As a tourist you don't need a registered address, hence no 90 days report. The 90 days report is a verification you're staying at the last reported address, but a tourist normally moves around and never submit a TM30. If you're staying 1 month on Koh Samui and 1 month in Pattaya, then moves to Chiang Mai for another month, where are you supposed to do the 90 days report, and which address are you reporting? If hotels where you're staying reports you to the local Immigration office as they should then Immigration knows where you are.

I live in a condo and have a rental agreement. My landlady sent me a copy of her TM30 report of me showing that I was staying at my rented condo. In spite of this I went to Jomtien Immigration with a copy of my rental agreement and filled in the form to register my own TM30.  It is handy to have it in my passport as proof of address. Jomtien told me that if I went abroad "maybe" I should redo it with my new TM7 entry form.

If you come back on a re-entry permit to the last reported address, there's no need to submit another TM30. The entry card is TM6 and you should put the last reported address on it (if you're going back to that address).

The wife says True Move and it's from the cable network.  We been paying the same amount the last 2 years...so what has that got to do with it?

Maybe your hardware sucks. This isn't China where they block foreign or political websites. Sometime websites becomes slow because of many users or slow servers. It even happens here at TVF sometime when many members are logged in at the same time.

I'd be worried if I was in Bangkok, not so much in Chiang Rai.

Do you often stay close to the Victory Monument when you're in BKK? That's where you'll find the protesters. So, why worry about going to BKK or even stay there? Do you even know where the Victory Monument is located in BKK?

You're correct about not living in BKK. The IO in Phatthalung is quite small and the staff have been extremely helpful in the past, they have guided us through the process as much as they could and know that situation is difficult for foreigners here.

My wife and I are heading down tomorrow to find out if they will accept it as a mistake.

If you're using the K-Bank app you'll see that every transaction, withdrawals and deposits comes with a time stamp. That might also help to convince the IO that it was a mistake if it only took 4 min to correct it.

From personal experience of Thai immigration sticking obsessively to the book, I wouldn't be surprised if you're disappointed. Hope you get an IO who had their nooky last night and got out of the right side of the bed this morning.

It seems OP doesn't stay in BKK or in another large city. At several smaller offices you get to know the people after several extensions,90 days reports and other errands.

It's increased by 33.3% then since my last 5 year license when it cost me 200 thb. Not surprised that the immig svc are suffering galloping inflation.

Several immigration offices charges you if you want the Resident Certificate straight away, and for free if you're ok with a waiting period of maybe 2 weeks. Jomtien always issue the RC straight away, it takes maybe 30min to 1 hour. I also paid 300 baht the last time I needed a certificate. It took 25 min = 1 cup of coffee outside.

Who, if infected, could pass it onto any one of these 41 aliens, if it's true, what many posters say, that Thai returnees don't need to be tested before flying !

Thai nationals on repatriation flights don't need to be tested. It's up to the airline, though. It doesn't say in the article if these thai are repatriated and not tested.

When I worked in Bangkok I had 2 UK passports and was told by Immigration that this was not acceptable in Thailand and this was confirmed by UK Embassy. One passport had to be cancelled.

I have a hard time believing it's against any law having 2 passports if it's allowed to have 2 passports in your home country. But, you must use the one you used when entering the country and if you entered on a  re-entry permit. In most countries you can't have 2 passports, a new one cancels the old one.

That's correct.  But if he entered Thailand on a NEW issued Visa (he is in quarantaine now so chances are that that is the case), he would need a new TM-30 from that last reported address.

It might also depend on the local immigration office. Staying in quarantine doesn't necessarily mean that he didn't arrive on a re-entry permit. Then the last reported address will still be valid.

That depends upon the country where a person is traveling from. Some do not have those other flights you mentioned available.

That's correct. I was talking in general. OP like many other posters don't mention where he comes from. It's nothing wrong with his english, so I don't think he's from an east European country. He sounds like he comes from the UK. But, who knows? ????
