That's a different scenario to 99% of us...????
no not really
the New UK passport renewal system is excellent
no forms to fill in
no forms to sign
only put your current passport details into the system
upload Photo, photo is reviewed and if approved that's it
pay the amount
then send your passport and wait approx 3-4 weeks
new passport arrives
old passport arrives
total time is 3-4 weeks currently

Are you saying you were in Thailand with no passport.....?
to answer you 'YES"
however my case is different from most, I hold 2 UK passports due to be a frequent traveler
I made an online application to renew my 2nd (alternate ) passport, i sent a letter explaining this and included the letter with my passport i wanted to renew. even the photo is uploaded and reviewed online, so very easy process.
I believe if you want to renew your passport it is the same case.
its taken approx 30 days, due to a delay in me being able to mail my passport to UK office.

i recently made an online application using UK passport website
application was submitted June 18th
i got DHL message saying New passport is expected delivery July 18th
i paid 115 GBP + cost of mailing old passport to UK office
I won't be using any agents ever again or going to BKK
the website say 11 weeks but it seems quicker, my case is slightly tricky because i hold 2 UK passports
Application history
Status Date Passport printed 3:25am on 13 July 2022 Application approved 2:13pm on 12 July 2022 Documents received 7:58am on 4 July 2022 Application received 3:57am on 18 June 2022 Application submitted 3:56am on 18 June 2022 -
fortunately my 8 year old grand daughter walks with me to the shops, or even across the road to MacDonald's
longer term she will remember this and wont go into shock when I ask her to go for a walk
unfortunately my 25 year old step daughter looks at me with shock when i ask her to go for a walk

I fully agree, she will be pressured 'its not her money now" but that type of thing happens in most countries not only LOS.
talk it over with her now make a plan of what to do, leave some to charity that will help.

my feelings are, once we're gone the money will be divided up, and then spent and then they'll sit back and say" I wish we had a little bit more"

Thanks.
My vehicle is 5 years old with 160K on it, no warranty, never had any issues with it at all just thought 10K maybe a bit frequent but perhaps not....
if your warranty has expired its up to you, I'd say 6 or 12 months
do you want to sell it later or run it in too the ground ?

I do like the occasional Kiwi, "Dad's steak mince and cheese pie", but I don't have an oven and it doesn't quite work in the microwave when it's on convection, probably because it's over 12 years old and not fully functional??
You mentioned that you cook pies, if I had a defrosted pie, how long would it take to heat through (please).
it depends on size and how fast do you want it, slower is always better as it can cook better
the best thing about these fryers is they switch off when timer is done, so if its not enough you can put it back in again
I would guess a normal size pie would take 15-20-25 minutes, remember they are Mini electrical fan ovens, so they normally cook faster because the size is smaller and more heat is retained.
don't wait buy one.

ive just tried logging in using browser (edge) with email confirmation
the email hasn't arrived yet, so maybe a bug in the system

Most airlines show one price for one passenger
they may show combined for number of passengers, but read the page or check the filter settings
29 GBP
total 57

How long do chips (fries) take?
depends on how many, but for us 1-2 people 5-6-7 minutes
Super easy

we have a Philips, Biggish one we got some attachments like a deep pot-pan so can do omelet's or even pizza's
hot plate for Steaks
i find oily products are better Pork- Salmon etc
Chicken and French fries taste slightly direr, but that's the whole point less Oil
very convenient as they normally switch off so you can forget about them.
Buy a cheap BIG size one, you'll be amazed what you can cook in them, just think of them as a small oven so you can put almost anything in them.

It is all about conditioning.
In my little village sport does not exist.
Nowhere for youngsters to express themselves unless they are given a loud motorbike.
I tried to get my wifes grandson out with me on his bicycle I bought.
Nope, bizzy watching cartoon games at age 10.
No future.
Not even interested in motorbikes.
we can't give up on them, we MUST try and distract them away from those games, dare i say it if he could go out with his friends on bikes that would be great also.

Readily available in the big hardware stores I would have thought.......the problem will be finding someone competent enough to fit it and not have it leak.
They always tell you "Yes No ploblem I can do"
then when it starts to leak they suddenly go to Bangkok or have COVID and are unable to return to make any sort of repair
