  1. Oh dear.. bit late to think about this initiative.. they're already here illegally.. just walk across the border.. daily statistics show the majority of new covid infections are illegal migrants.. amazing Thailand.. ????????
  2. Yes. I'm in this situation.. double vaxed Pfizer last month and new passport this month.. No idea what to do so I carry both passports.. Would like to hear from anybody who has advanced knowledge or experience on this? ????????
  3. I'm still trying to understand COVID Insurance requirement.. 1. I have current O retirement visa and re-entry permit. 2. I am 75 3. I am double Pfizer jabbed. 4. I want to return to Aus for a short holiday and to catch up with family for about 3 weeks, then come back to my condo in Thailand, where I live.. MY QUESTION.. Do I need the COVID insurance to renter? If so, what duration do I need? AND, can I get it being 75? Very grateful for any CORRECT advice..????????????????
  4. The money will be a fund to bail out tourism businesses hit by the pandemic. Yeah.. right..!! ????????????
  5. In the 30+ years I've lived here and ran my own educational business for many years, prior to retirement, nothing much changes.. a lot of rhetoric and ideas get floated around.. but as His Highness the King said in an interview on TV recently, "Thailand is the country of compromise".. I've enjoyed my life here immensely, and have a large Thai/farang family, and many Thai and expat friends. I intend to continue to enjoy the Thai ride in my remaining retirement years right here in the wonderful land of smiles.. ????????????????????
  6. Fully vaccinated with 2 shots Pfizer. Free expat vaccination service provided by the Thai Govt through Bangkok Pattaya Hospital at Central Festival in Pattaya.. Very grateful.. ????????????????
  7. The legal issue will be proving ownership of the dog.. unfortunately, these cases usually do not even get to court because of this.. TIT.. You could contact http://thailand8888.com/ and speak with Kelvin who has personal experience in this issue... Good luck.. hope you can get this resolved..
  8. I received first jab Pfizer yesterday at Central Festival Pattaya, administered by Bangkok Pattaya Hospital, FREE.. Second dose appointment made for 3 weeks time. This is a result of registering on expatvac a few weeks back. Many people were processed, both Thai nationals and foreigners, in an orderly and well managed professional process.. I'm very grateful for this opportunity and wish to thank the officials and BPH management for arranging this.. I'm 74.. ????????????????
  9. Maybe expatvac and previous like websites, have collected thousands of farang personal details, medical conditions, copies of current passports and visas, current addresses, correct email addresses, and phone numbers.. They certainly haven't demonstrated that farangs have been vaccinated as a result of these bogus websites, which appear to be only collecting our vital information.. just sayin.. ???? Hmmmm.. maybe I'm being too suspicious.. ????????????????????????
  10. When Thailand implements a policy such as this, there is a reason.. It's part of the ongoing soap opera and guessing game.. But it WILL unfold at some stage, no matter how long it takes..
  11. Well good luck with this one.. If the FTA is any guide, it will be "more of the same".. ONE WAY MONEY for THAILAND... As an example, when the FTA was mooted 10 years or so ago, many of us Aussie expats we're excited that the exorbitant price of Aus wine and beef and other foodstuffs would come down. Initially, after much publicity and complaining, wine DID come down in price. For a about 6 months.. and then the Thai Govt implemented a "local" tax, that effectively doubled and/or tripled the Aus wine prices.. Meanwhile, all duties on Thai imports were removed in Australia, and sales of Thai products increased substantially.. this is reflected in the positive Thai balance of payments . ONE WAY MONEY for THAILAND... I think this might be history repeating itself, with more opportunities for the Thai partner to extort.. ????????????????✔️????????????
  12. I'm staying.. lived and had my own business in Thailand for many years. Thai wife, 5 kids.. I'm retired and divorced now.. family all live in Aus. I moved us all to Aus about 13 years ago for the kids education, which in hindsight, was the only positive in the move.. The 10 years there were for me, the most stressful time of my life.. my wife turned into a narcissistic psychopath, believing and following advice from all the new Thai ladies she formed a group with, who were mostly old jealous bar girls who all wanted to be the "P".. I'm 74 and underwent 10 years of medical trauma in Aus.. chronic heart failure, 9 operations to remove malignant cancer tumours, Chem X 5 times, radiotherapy X 3 times, chronic kidney failure.. the list goes on.. During this time, my wife firmed an opinion, based on the expert advice of he Thai friends, that she should not assist me in anyway, and wait for my certain death.. inherit everything and have a good time.. I was hospitalised 6 times with serious illnesses, and she chose not to visit me once.. Well.. thru perseverance, excercise, diet and medical assistance, I survived, much to her chagrin.. Retired now in Thailand last 3 years.. Spend about 6 months in Esarn in the farm, and 6 months in my condo on Jomtien beach. Thru my 30 odd years living in Thailand, I've seen many government's come and go.. many changes in immigration etc, 3 coups.. AND.. at the end of the day, nothing much has changed for me here, over that time. Have a new gf who causes me no stress and takes care of me very well.. a few great expat friends, and many Thai friends and ex colleagues.. And a GREAT life style.. Thank you Thailand.. I believe this govt WILL change within the foreseeable future, and life will continue and improve, after covid.. No greener pastures for me mate.. ????????????????????????????????
  13. Best advice for him is to walk away and let her sort it out.. it's her problem, not his.. Find a new place to live and make a clean break.. any other compromise will only cause him complications, confusion, and never ending stress..
