  1. This is great news, thank you Pol. Lt. Col.Pichaya Kheawpluang. head of the local Comedy Store, he also declared that their were no Munchkins in the film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Not a concerned citizen to be seen anywhere he added.
  2. When I watched this in the news yesterday, I commented to my wife that the Thai authorities would hang the driver. Yes her reaction was slow, yes I cannot understand why she drive over the body and parked her car without realising what she had done. Too be fair to the driver, she wouldn’t expect to turn off the street into a private driveway and find a person crouched down in the middle of that driveway entrance painting the road, who knows maybe 90% of us would have hit him, also having hit him 90% of us would have realised and stopped the car? If blame is to be apportioned then the Condo owners and workmen should also share that responsibility, yes I know this is Thailand but is crass stupidity not to have any signs, cordons or comes out to signify that there was work in progress, unfortunate timing for the workman’s lookout to have gone for a leak. The article said she admitted causing the accident, I hope that’s incorrect, responsibility for it yes, causing it absolutely no, Thai Health & Safety measures played a large part in the cause. RIP the dead Guy & good luck to the driver, she will need it!
  3. Well we can all sleep soundly in our beds now felling safe & secure. Let’s not forget that this witch hunt was kicked off originally as a result of corrupt officials taking bribes to issue false documentation to Chinese gangsters, maybe the sting operation should be called ‘Yellow Accommodation for Foreigners?’ These operations are enforced due to the laziness of the Immo Police in not having the correct systems in place from the point of arrival, 6 overstayers & 117 persons not registered at their accommodation, what a joke & waste of money putting this together. One would have thought the Authorities could better spend the finances enforcing traffic laws, preventing vicious dog attacks, Immo officers taking brown envelope payments for visas, etc etc the list is endless, as someone mentioned they’re after low hanging fruit rather than doing their jobs properly or avoiding exposing corrupt senior officials for their misdeeds?
  4. Shock, horror let’s make life a whole lot more difficult whilst ignoring the root cause, these dodgy visas, no matter what their initial purpose was, volunteer work, ED visas etc, all were facilitated by corrupt & greedy officials, so if Thai Immo are going to make application criteria’s tighter, surely their first step should be to remove & make examples of the corrupt officials discouraging others from profiteering from wealthy foreigners?
  5. I’ve got one question which no doubt will just be dismissed or anger most. I’m not defending the animal, he just creates a bigger distrust of foreigners here with his unacceptable behaviour , but I’ll ask the question anyway. At what point was the rape committed, before or after he refused to pay? He must have been desperate to commit an act of rape, after all there are enough ladies of low moral fortitude needing to support their Families out and around in Khon Kaen?
  6. Was it only Family, friends and people who work for him who were asked? clearly didn’t ask any of the pro democracy supporters. I suppose there must be some logic in the result, as he and his stooges got the Country into this mess, it follows that they know only too well how to drag us out.
  7. What’s the fuss about, it’s their Country, their rules, their laws wether we agree ir disagree with them, it’s none of our business. Best leave it to the Thais. If you think about it, if you were a foreign National in another Country and caught at a political rally you be arrested, imprisoned and deported, so no different. Remember why you’re here, chill and relax not protest and complain
  8. Flip flop time, this makes less sense than the decisions made by the CCSA, hahaha at least it’s easier to implement and fortunately removes the blame on restauranteurs should infection rates soar again
  9. Another totally flawed concept put into action, good job it’ll only apply to less than 10% of the population so will certainly be a huge boost to the economy!! Bet our local friendly Thais have already got their John Bull printing sets out??
  10. No surprises about his wealth, his car collection and how he amassed it, well at least not from his senior colleagues and investigating officers, all part or normal day to day business here in the land of smiles and brown envelopes.let’s be fair about it they give him a great head start applying for a warrant 3 days after he was sacked, the Guys long since gone! Makes you wonder how much he managed to take with him if he left 29 cars behind. Hahaha just imagine if he was ever to be caught how many officials, senior police officers and politicians he’d take down with him, now there’s a thought? After all United they stand and divided they fall, no honour amongst thieves etc
  11. Yep clearly I have no idea, I’ve only lived and worked in Mueang Khon Kaen for 10 years and 5 years prior to that in Bangkok. The gyst of your beef is that you as a Thai under 60 years of age cannot get a vaccination, I sympathize with you. That said and maybe I didn’t articulate myself sufficiently before, because I didn’t want to anyone to draw any racist implications by it, is that then you having highlighted you are Thai and cannot get a vaccine of any description you then automatically draw a comparison with Foreigners who can. We didn’t make the rules and yes your comment by way of comparison does sort of intimate as another contributor said that maybe you are racist or your comments imply racism. I also highlighted that my Thai Wife has been calling local hospitals, both state and Private in search of available vaccines, it took her over six months to get her first shot on Sinovac last Tuesday. I’ll elaborate further and repeat, no matter if you are in a hurry or not, if you cannot find somewhere to provide you with a vaccine contact the local KK Health Authority, they will point you in the right direction. Unlike Covid the vaccine will not find you, you will have to go and find it!! You have also the alternative of attending the walk in vaccination Centre at KICE next to the big Khon Kaen Lotus’s on the opposite side of the road to Makro. It’ll be a wait but at least you’ll get a shot of vaccine, I believe this weekend they are offering Sinovac, Sinopharm and AZ, plus it’s also open to non Thai on Saturday 21 August, which is the first time they’ve opened the door to foreign Nationals. Good luck
  12. Where in KK is this possible, the State Hospitals openly state Thais first, foreigners when all the locals are vaccinated. The Apps currently offering registration for foreigners advise for over 60’s or pregnant or anyone with underlying conditions. As I posted earlier it’s taken 6 months or so for my Wife who is under the age of 60 to secure a vaccination. I feel sorry for anyone of any Nationality who is unable to secure a vaccination, but foreigners did not set up you National or Local procedures for acquiring vaccinations, suggest you take your moaning to the Health Authorities in Khon Kaen, then maybe they will pull the plug on vaccinations for Foreigners, that should make you happy and feel equal, as clearly your upset by people other than Thais having access to vaccines
