Why doesn't the army and the Thai elite who favor Russia, Iran, and China so much send their children to be educated in those countries? Why don't they buy soccer teams in those countries? Why not buy real estate there, instead of the West? Why don't they fly to those three countries when they want a Covid vaccine or other medical procedure?
You forgot the offshore bank accounts

Never have seen a price label affixed to my veggies or meat here in Bangkok at the Makro we shop at in English, it is all in Thai as well as the receipt itself. I have shopped at Makro's for over 10 years between Bangkok and Udon Thani, and as I said have never seen a label in English affixed.
As far as dual pricing and someone pocketing the money it definitely wouldn't be the clerk who mispriced the item now would it be. I can not begin to tell you how many times things have been over priced and when taken back are re-priced correctly. If you can not read Thai as I stated and you do not check the prices you can and may be overcharged. To me it's like the old butcher putting his thump on the scale as they weigh your meat......they then can pull a little of the product for themselves now. Does it happen all of the time, well that is a definite No but it does occur....
I think you must be going to the only store where its only in Thai.
Besides, you dont need to be able to read Thai to see how much it is a kilo on the label, and the displayed price.

The other products no way in hell they could charge different but the other Items as I indicated I have had issues and is why I send the GF into those sections. Remember unless you can read Thai how will you now if the affixed label is correct?
Why would the guy on the fruit and veg want to charge you more? Once its rung in the till how would he/she get her cut from Makro? It's not like they are handling money for their own gains is it?
Our family has been shopping in Makro for years and never had a problem.
The only issue I can see is a mistake, IE 2 type of a vegetable, one local and a more expensive import. Just tell the guy doing the weighing that's its local produce and you will get the local price.
The labels are also in English and Thai (at least they are in Pattaya) it will tell you what you bought. It even says how much a kilo and how much yours cost.
Sorry, I dont believe there is dual pricing policy in Makro.

Suspect the Thais will have the edge over the Brits in the jungle survival bit but in everything else they will come 2nd; eg crossing the road; finding your own bottom.
A Guard's regiment will beat them hands down on soldiering with important skills such as 'Standing still the longest' and 'who can shout incoherent orders the loudest.'
'Finding other people's bottoms' is reserved for the matelots.

And just how are the Russians in Thailand supposed to get home to Russia? Their airlines are banned, their currency is useless as are their credit and debit cards. How will they get the money to pay even their current bills here in Thailand?
Repatriation flights I guess.......

Reminds me of the story my "first time to Thailand" friend told me about his time in Nana Plaza, he was the only customer in one gogo bar and bought a couple of "ladies" drinks as they did their usual routine, he was so proud and his ego so pumped to have 2 lovely "ladies" paying so much attention towards him, after a few minutes he sees a dancer and asked the 2 taking care of him if that's a ladyboy, the 2 told him "this is a ladyboy bar", he's momentarily stunned, gulps his drinks and exists the bar with his tail between his legs...555.
Same thing happened to me funny enough, I stayed and bought another round.

1 month, so I have 2 shots and natural immunity, just wondering if a booster at this stage is really needed?

Up to you but be clear no legitimate doctor would recommend intentional infection.
Agreed, but no need to go out your way when you will get it at some point anyway. Double jabbed, you will be fine.

How about if you are double vaccinated (AZ) and already had mild covid?

GF told me a few ago, her salon where she works and also teaches has now been closed because of to many cases in the community.
Here in the US, even with numbers as high as they are life is pretty normal.
They are managing to keep the numbers low by giving 'jail time' @ a government facility to anyone who receives a positive PCR test. (well in Chonburi province at least) .
As is seems to be mostly mild, people are lying low at home.
My wife's sister is currently wondering why she reported herself at the hospital for a PCR. She is now into her second week at a cheap hotel in Pattaya locked in her room, bored out of her mind. (Takes a lot for a Thai to get bored when they manage to sleep 23 hours a day!) Her symptoms (runny nose) are so mild she is not even being given any medicine.
The rest of the family will not be making that mistake.

Ummm...pointing out that experts are saying nasal swabs are not the best at detecting Omicron is irresponsible? I would think some are not aware of this. Good that you are! TBH, I wasn't a few weeks ago, but am now. Saliva tests are much better.
Happy now?
Yes I am now, you could have been more careful and pointed this out in the beginning, your original statement was all ATK tests are useless, when in fact they are not.

Many I know who've gotten covid recently, detected via PCR tests, didn't have to go into quarantine facilities. They were allowed to quarantine in their own home or condo. So no, not spot on.
My sister in law is in cheap hotel for 2 weeks with a runny nose, so mild they are not even giving her meds. She is regretting the PCR now.

You are aware not all ATK tests are saliva based? Most I've seen recently, and used, are nasal based, which don't detect Omicron as well.
Research is a good thing.
Its also been posted on here for sometime, the fella Smedley has done it a few times that experts recommend both swabbing the nose and throat.
Plenty of nasal/ saliva kits on Lazada, I buy the ones from Testsealabs.

Thats right, its even been posted on TV for weeks now that the saliva test is the way ahead.
The way you are posting that ATK tests are useless is irresponsible. People on here may take note and not bother. ATK are simple inexpensive tests that can be done at home, its the first line of defence. It enables people to isolate at home and stop onward infection. Not everyone wants to take a PCR and risk being incarcerated in a government facility if they only have mild symptoms.
Cant say I agree with everything you say, but you are spot on here.

I have read that article it doesn't claim that any medical expert has recommended against vaccinating kids over 5. You are being dishonest.
Where did he say some medical experts were recommending against vaccines for kids over 5?
