To answer the question posed in the headline: I'd need to know the total number of tests performed per day ... in addition to the number of new infections.

I don't care what BS the Thai government says, population of nearly 70 million compare that with Australias 25.6 million and Mebourne was the most locked down city in the world

    long read if you interestet

Yes indeed and very much so here in Cambodia where we sometimes have to change cash into cash! Two currencies are used, the US$ and the Khmer Riel. Many small business traders will only take Riels so I have to change my $ bills into the Khmer currency for local market shopping.

Personally, I do not own a smartphone so I use cash or my debit card and long may it be so!!

Same me I am in OZ I have a smart phone but I don't have data on my phone since I am on a cheap plan so I always pay with my debit card (tap and go) but have not paid by cash for a number of years.I can use my phone at home since I have WiFi

Not true everywhere in the US.

I see lots of shops with signs that say "No bills larger than $20".

As far as having no choice, you have a choice when you get cash, I never get larger than a $20 bill when getting cash.

And as others have said using plastic is often more convenient for everybody..

I am in OZ now and have not paid in cash for many years I just use my tap and go debit card but pay 4 dollars for small fries is robbery, I can buy a burger and fries and softdrink for just 4 bucks

The USA seems to be a bit behind Thailand , many people in Thailand don't use cash anymore , even 10 Baht hot dog sellers on the streets use iphones to make cash less payments .

Do people still use cash in the USA ?

So tell me how do you pay if you don't have a smart phone

I know a lot of people won’t agree with me, but I always buy directly from the airline. In case of cancellation, for example you’re much better off dealing with the airline and not a booking agency.

I also check the options too, ok, price is more, but lots of advantages !!  I fly a lot and I’ve never had a problem. Try and email Expedia and complain.

I don't agree with you there are thousands of people who booked with airlines or travel agents who can't get refunds for their flight which got cancelled due to Covid

Not as offensive as the toxic fumes that spew out of vehicle exhaust pipes considering the differences in apertures Mr. Geoffggi. Do you drive a vehicle, or have you ever smoked? I ask because, in my experience, the ex-smokers winge ten times more about smokers than non-smokers ever do.

Well I am an x smoker for about 10 years but I don't mind at all if a smoker lites up next to me as long he does not blow it into my face and yes I am talking about outside.

My company is global manufacturer. Our costs are going through the roof. But when you look at the average "headline" inflation figures around the world Canada 6.7%, USA 8.5%, Australia 5.6%, it's grim and those figures are well below what the average person actually experiencing.

Add in interest rates rising, housing crises, fuel, food shortages and negative real income, as just some primary concerns, there's a lot to be very worried about and we're only just getting started.

Thailands economic policy is run by the military. How will it navigate the next couple of years? Very badly, I suspect.

Australias figure is 5.1 % and the best figure is Western Australia with only 3.6 %

Just change the law. If someone does not have the decency or consciousness to get out of way of an ambulance, then force them to by law. How about confiscating the vehicle for 60 days, and asking them to pay a 100,000 baht impound fee to get it back?

Or suspension of the drivers license?

Some people are simply incapable of doing the right thing. Society needs to deal with them harshly.

You are correct, I am in the west now if you do this you will be heavely fined and lose  some points on your licence or maybe your licence for some time if you are a repeat offender
