I assume the track is still narrow gauge ?

Quite handy to have tracks in the same width as the bogeys of the trains.

But for your info, 1-metre gauge is suitable up to 160 km/h.

    Not toytrain I guess.

The work on the railway elevation is indeed for the railways, and not for the tram Thaphra to Samran.

Great, now they can hit endless tour groups with visa fees going both ways. Probably shouldn't take more than a few hours to clear a single bus load of Chinese.

That is not what the officials are really hoping for.

The preferred origin of the tourists is the west.

    I agree.

Hmmm.  Not that good looking has a nose job, thin head, Spok ears, and contacts. Many more girls walking around the malls in KK and Korat much better then her.

Maybe she thinks her last name is Kardasian....

I think you had a look in the mirror this morning, made you very angry with your own looks resulting in downgrading a good looking woman.

    Shame on you.

How about listing the boys with rich parents who knock up the  girls in class forcing the girl to be sent to grandma's in the province and the boy stays in school to seek his next conquest with no repercussions ? (yes...I did teach high school here for 3 years)

Knocking up girls in an all boys school?

    Seems quite impossible.

That said, maybe the principal indeed means well.

Although we all believe Thai society is very open for sexual differences, in fact it is not.

There is a lot of discrimination.

Guarded and under cover, but it is there.

And I guess in an all boys school it might be worse.

I don't believe their mobile phones have anything to do wit their accident.

But I do believe their sitting under a tree on the otherwise empty beach caused it.

It might be true that many lightning victims had their mobile with them.

The reason is clear: how many percent have no mobile with them.

Same logic as "people who were struck by lightning had a head, so they are more in danger than than those without"

Just suppose that mobile phones would be only a wee bit dangerous.

Not many people would accept any danger induced by the mobile phone craze, real or imagined

    Dream on.....

"NO",that type of gun is a war weapon,Thai citizen's can't own a weapon like that

Every kind of firearm, bow and arrow, sword, pike, axe, knife might be called a war weapon.

And has been and will be used in war.

    An assault rifle then?

Every rifle can be used and has been used in assaults.

It is just a semiautomatic rifle, or maybe even an automatic.

Or maybe a toy, shooting little balls.

Do remember, without getting very nervous, people can kill and do kill.

With any kind of tool usable for killing.

No excuses for child abuse! This is simple backwardness. If a teacher would do that to my child, I would personally reconfigure his limbs.

Ever saw ballet training in the western countries?

Do you know how much pain this brings?

    Or maybe gymnastics?

    Swimming?

Ever wondered about the malformed bodies of those children.

Your reaction just illustrates your medieval misinformed vigilante ideas.

Need only to look at the mentality of electorate majority to conclude the kind of political system and characters would result...

Only an electorate with integrity gets politicians with integrity.

As long as any country will be hindered by a one party majority, the minority is worthless and powerless.

    And not only in Parliament.

A government formed by a coalition will better represent all the people.

Well there you go, elections will have to be delayed now!

If it is indeed politically motivated, it certainly is clear from which political side this comes.

And shows they are still adhering to violence.

Which shows they do not deserve a political appointment.

Just suppose, in your own country a certain party uses bombs to make their mark, I am certain you would not want those people in power, do you?

    Or do you?

OK, but I don't understand why the boyfriends license or lack of should invalidate her medical insurance. I wonder if he had a provisional, she had a full and she thought it was OK for him to drive because he was accompanied by a fully qualified driver, applying UK law in Thailand is interesting. Whatever, I hope she gets better soon but I don't hold out much hope for the hospital bill, it will have to be paid.

You don't understand why the insurance company will not pay?

Well, anything possible will be used by those companies to refuse a claim.

Banks and Insurance companies are, it is said, legalised criminal institutions.

Regardless of who you are or your politics bombing a hospital waiting room is completely unacceptable and unforgivable.

The perpetrators obviously consider they are at war and have never heard go the Geneva Convention.

"seek to protect people who are not or are no longer taking part in hostilities; these include the sick and wounded of armed forces on the field, wounded, sick, and shipwrecked members of armed forces at sea, prisoners of war, and civilians."

Using hospitals, religious buildings, schools for terrorist activities is a boon for terrorists.

If attacked by regular army or police it can always be claimed by terrorists that the army or police were killing innocents.

And terrorists are not bound by any convention or even morals.

I think the Thai guy overreacted ....  the chinese guy probably looked at him a few times and the thai guy took it the wrong way and therefore got upset.

A bit of a jerk if you ask me .....  he was showing off in front of other thais ...

I am sure the chinese guy meant no harm ... and will probably be glad to see arse end of Thailand.

I guess the reaction of the Thai man is a product of the official attitude.

    Come, leave your money, depart.
