  1. TQ all for your advice. Guess I'll have to reschedule my return trip to be back in early to mid April to apply for the 1-year extension. Cheers.
  2. Thanks Dr Jack and yeahbutif, I can't do the extension earlier as I'm restricted by the 2-month 400K sanitization of my funds. The earliest I can do the extension is in the week of 8 April and I'll be away then. Guess I;ll do the 60-day extension first. What's the earliest date I can do the 60-day extension if my visa is expiring on 15th April? Do they need the 400K sanitizatio too?
  3. Dr Jack I'll be away from 10 Feb to 20 April. I have never obtained a 60-day extension; only 1-year extension. My IB is at Chaeng Wattana.
  4. My current visa annual extension (marriage) will expire on 15 April 2024. However I may not be able to renew it on time as I'll be away. Do I get any grace period to apply after 15th April? The THB400K has been sanitised in my account since early February. Any advice appreciated.
  5. My annual Non-O Marriage visa will be expiring in mid-April 2024. Just checking if there are any updates to the requirements (My IO is at Chaeng Wattana, Bangkok): 1. Bank account showing >THB400K "seasoned" (lay-over) for >2 months prior to application date. Is this still the requirement as I read somewhere that we need to "seasoned" the deposit for >3 months prior to application date. 2. New TM30 approval required using the new TM30 website process? My TM30 was done 5 years ago and I am still living at the same address and my 90-Day report is current, at the same address. 3. Other "changes", if any since March 2022. Thanks. Appreciate any feedback. PS: Apologies if the above had been addressed elsewhere in this forum.
  6. My current TM30 was approved 5 years ago and I am still living at the same address. Do I need to apply for a "new" TM30 using this new tool? My 90-day report is still current and at the same address.
  7. I have a MULTIPLE Re-Entry Permit valid until 15 December 2023 (same expiry date as my Non-O Marriage Visa). I have just applied for an extension of my visa and has received the "Under Consideration" stamp valid until 28 December 2023. However I need to travel overseas on 22 December 2023; can I still use my Re-Entry Permit or do I need to apply for a new one? Any advice appreciated.
  8. I was at Chaeng Wattana (CW) on 30 Aug to submit my TM47 in person because I had yet to receive approval for my online application made on 16 Aug. According to the officer at CW, the reason for the delay was because of long holidays and unusually large number of online applications. Here's my guide for anyone wanting to apply in person for the TM47 at CW: 1. Make an appointment online via https://www.immigration.go.th/?page_id=20131 which you will subsequently receive a system generated email confirming your appointment. 2. On the appointment day, bring along your passport, the previously approved TM47, copy of the email confirming your appointment and a duly completed new TM47.. 3. At CW, proceed to Counter 4 to submit your TM47 form and email confirmation. You will then be given a Blue Docket (a 3"x 3" plastic docket). 4. Proceed to Cubicle B66 (not Counter A as indicated in the email). Present your documents to the officer there when he/she is available. They will attend to you even if you are 20 minutes or so early for the appointment. 5. All in all, from Counter 4 to getting the new TM47 approval, it took no more than 15 minutes. Hope the above will guide you accordingly.
  9. Tks Dr Jack. As the old post was done in 2016, I think there will be changes since then. Anyone care to chip in?
  10. I am on a Non-O Marriage Visa and we plan to move from BKK to Hua Hin soon. Appreciate if anyone can advise on the following: 1. Are the Immigration processes and procedures in Hua Hin Immigration exactly the same as those in Chaeng Wattna for Marriage Visa Extension? If not, please elaborate. 2. -ditto- for 90-day report and TM30 Notice of Address. Thank you in advance for any pointers.
  11. One more question: After resetting my 90-day report deadline, can I still use the online system to report my new 90-day report, or do I need to go to Chaeng Wattana to do the "first" report?
  12. 1. My existing 90-day report was due to expire on 9th January 2023. 2. I went overseas on 23rd December 2022 and returned to BKK on a re-entry permit (Non-O Marrigae Visa) on 1st January 2023. 3. Am I correct to say that my existing 90-day report (due 9th January 2023) has been invalidated and I no longer need to submit a 90-day report before 9th January? 4. So, am I correct to say that my new 90-day report based on my entry on 1st January 2023 will be due on/14 days before 31st March 2023? Appreciate advice. Thanks.
  13. A week ago, I made an online appointment (https://www.immigration.go.th/?page_id=20131) to get a re-entry permit at CW. My confirmed appointment was at 10:40am today and I arrived at 10:20am. I went to the Queue Counter at the entrance of Immigration 1 and was given a queue ticket (No.120). I proceeded to the C2 booths and there was a huge crowd. The queue was running at No. 86, meaning I have to wait for another 34 applicants to be processed! Then I noticed that one of the booths (No. 6) had dimmed its LED signboard but the IO was standing there. I then went over to the IO and told her that I have an appointment and showed her my confirmed appointment email. She immediately sat me down and processed my application. It took just like 5 minutes and she told me to wait as my name would be called soon. I waited like 10 minutes and sure enough, my name was called and I collected my passport with the stamped re-entry. All in all it took me 20 minutes from start to finish. So...if you have a confirmed appointment, do not get a queue number. Just proceed to C2 and see an officer and show him/her your appointment slip.
  14. I am going to renew my 2-year Thai Driving License to 5 years. One of the documents needed is the Residence Certifcate. 1. I understand that MTT (Muang Thong Tani) is now closed; so I need to go to Chaeng Wattana (CW), is that correct? 2. I logged into the CW Online Appointment web-page but was not able to find the link to make an appoinment for residence certificate. Does this mean I do not need to make an appointment and I can just walk in to get this done? Appreciate your advice and any pointers. Thanks.
  15. Thanks for the info. So, if I have to personally make an appointment, does this mean there.s more than a likely chance I will have to go back a second time to take the physical test? Or can all this be done on the same day - make appointment, take test, take photo and collect new licence?
  16. Appreciate if anyone who had recently (as in the last 2 weeks) renewed his Driving Licence at Chatuchak to give advice on: 1. Do I have to make an appointment? If yes how and where to log in? 2. What application form do I need to fill in and what other documents (and copies) are required? 3. What is the best time to go to the DLT at Chatuchak? 4. Can I take the online eLearning test earlier than 3 months? For example my DL is expiring in February 2023, can I do the test now in October 2022 and apply for the DL in November? Reason is that I will be away from end November 2022 thru April next year.. Thanks in advance for any advice and guidance.
  17. I am living in BKK on a Non-O Visa (by marrige). I am thinking of registering my name as a resident in our House Blue Book (Tabien Baan) which has my wife as the sole registered owner. What are the advantages of having that registration and how do I go about getting it done at our local district office?
  18. I have a Non-O Marriage Visa valid until April next year. Am planning to apply for a multiple re-entry permit to facilitate my travels in and out of Thailand in the coming months. Anyone has any "recent" experience in applying for a re-entry permit - is it easier to aply for the permit at Chaeng Wattanc or at Suvarnabhumi airport?
  19. I have a Marriage Visa valid until April next year (with multiple Re Entry permit) and I plan to go to Singapore for a few days. Upon my return to Bangkok I will need a Thailand Pass; how many days should my Covid insurance coverage be if I don’t have any plans to leave Thailand in the next 12 months?
  20. I tried searching for this form which is needed for applying visa extension (by marriage). It's usually provided by the IO but I just want to get all my documents in order. Appreciate if anyone can upload a copy of the most recent affidavit form used at CW. Thanks.
  21. SCB has since closed their branch at the Government Complex Building B in Chaeng Wattana. Besides Bangkok Bank what other banks are operating there in the building? I will need to open an account with a bank that can issue me the same-day Bank Statement required when I apply for my Non-O Marriage Visa in the near future.
  22. I'm on a Non-O Marriage visa and I plan to fly out for a couple of days in December and return with a re-entry permit. Can I purchase this $50K insurance in Bangkok before I fly out? Any recommendations for an insurance provider?
  23. Tks ubonjoe for the infographic. There is no info on those (non-O visa holders) who currently live in Thailand and went overseas and returned to Bangkok in less than 21 days. Are they subject to the new no-quarantine measures and no medical insurance needed?
  24. <removed> I live in Bangkok on a Non-O visa (Marriage) valid until April 2022 with a re-entry permit and am fully vaccinated since Sept 7. I intend to fly to Singapore mid November and spend a few days there. I will be flying SQ (non-chartered flight) and with the new rules for no-quarantine, does this mean that I will need to join the sandbox program when I return to Thailand and that I'll need to be quarantined in a ASQ hotel for 7+ days and have a US$50K medical insurance policy? And since there isn't a sandbox program in Bangkok, I will have to fly to Phuket or other sandbox destinations?? Anyone has any clue of this "chartered flight" requirement?
  25. Since I couldn't login to the Extranet or iOS App to report my 90-days for the past 9 months (where the system rejected my report due to "overstay" - which is incorrect), I had to again visit MTT to file in the report personally. I lodged a "complaint" at the MTT Service Counter which was suggested by the Division 1@CW who had replied to my email complaint a week ago. At the MTT Service Counter the officer confirmed that I'm not on "overstay" and his system showed that my visa will only expire in April 2022. However he cannot do anything on his side about the extranet system as it's the responsibility of CW. I suspect that there are 2 separate databases - one to serve the extranet (and IOS app) and the other to serve officers working real-time at the counters at MTT and CW. Somehow the extranet database was not synced or updated to the real-time database. As a TVF (or now ANF) member said, it just need an entry-level IT guy to fix this!
