Put the red lead on the positive battery terminal and the black on the negative. Your battery (if good) should read 12.5v. Start the bike and the voltage should go up to 13v at idle and around 13.5v to 14v with revs. If your not getting this then most likely your magneto is faulty.

I don't get the flu either. I'm guessing you have an excellent diet, don't smoke and drink in moderation. Therefore having a strong immune system. When you have a poor diet smoke and drink to much then your body is constantly trying to remove these toxins and is vulnerable to outside infections.
