  1. Fox News is owned by a grub who only employs grubs who never let the facts get in the way of a good story.
  2. Now that all the accusations made by the USA and China have quietened down I believe it was the greatest scam of all time by the pharmaceutical companies. The Covid virus caught everyone by surprise, so how was the Covid virus vaccine readilly so soon.
  3. Next thing there will be a nightly tax for farangs sleeping with their legally married Thai wives. If there's any extra hanky panky picked up by spy cams there will be an additional surcharge.
  4. What's the best day to go to the DLT office in Pattaya?
  5. As I go for my long daily walk every morning in that area I see every thing that's going on. It appears that work has started on the extra large land behind Space Hotel. Yesterday when I walked past the open gates they were digging the foundations and trucks were removing the soil. Now tour buses have taken over that area and many are driven by people who have a Thai motor bike riders mentality.
  6. One other point worth considering is that the old Best Supermarket and the Peace Resort may have been built on long term leased land.
  7. Everywhere in Naklua is being knocked down to build top of the range hotels, especially on the Wongamart side of Naklua Road. I'd say Best Supermarket along with the Peace Hotel were forced to go. Maybe the offer was to good to knock back. Give them a month as it's been one hell of a job to move all their stock. I'm sure things will change once things are settled down. One up side is the new shop has a superb alcohol section.
  8. I still don't understand the Pattaya amphurs thinking, give the water throwers a designated throwing area on vacant land. At least if you enter there you do so at your on risk. I don't care what others do as long as they don't disrupt what I'm doing. I'm sure businesses would be all for that idea.
  9. It's the main reason I use an agent, why can't Immigration get some computer science people to set up and maintain their online services. Probably a case of nepotism, which is rife in Government departments in Thailand. It's a case of not what you know but who you know.
  10. There is a car park there but it's hard to say how many cars it will hold.
  11. Its going to be replaced by another multi story hotel complex similar to the Space Hotel.
  12. Hi there, I walked past the new Best Supermarket this morning, I noticed that it officially opens tomorrow Sat April 20. It's opposite the Susco servo between Sois 25 and 27, It's over the road from where I live. So that will be less stress on my old legs.
  13. Where I come from in Australia we call these situations Jews stock takes. There's a large coffee shop around the corner from me in Naklua Road where a fire ocurred and since the rebuild it's totally deserted. Prior to the fire it was a very busy shop.
  14. I live in a soi 50 metres from Naklua Road just near the new Best Super Market. I noticed this morning at 6am when I go for my normal 2 hours walk that the vendors were getting all set up. I had to walk on the road as all the footpaths were blocked even little kids sleeping on the footpaths and others sleeping in tents. Now it's 5.30 pm here and it's been out of control all day. When will they bring in designated water throwing zones like many places up North have?
  15. A few days ago I had to go shopping in Tukcom, on my return home I got on a baht bus and travelled the full distance of Second Road. As the traffic was very slow people on baht buses were subjected to a deluge of water from passing pick up trucks every time they had to stop. Surely they should ban water being thrown from the back of vehicles. As I've suggested many times unless these morons can tone it down heaps, the local Amphur should have designated water throwing areas. It would be much easier to patrol and the BIB's may well be surprised who they meet there.
