  1. Yes, you'd think HiSo's like myself would be immune as a birthrite!
  2. Same on weekends. It's like a no testing we're closed thing on the weekends.
  3. I believe he's talking about "long COVID" and not the actual vaccines.
  4. ......Or just fat, high blood pressure, or to cheap to use the air-conditioning.
  5. Do both. Eventually you'll get it. No reason not to keep getting boosters to lesson the chance for a costly stay at a hospital. Our entire family just recovered from COVID-19 after getting somewhere in Hua Hin despite taking care and staying at a 5 star hotel. Very mild and happy to boost our immune system along with the vaccines. Biggest worry was our toddler. Fever for 3 days. Fine on fully recovered by the 6th day. Yai, 60's, diabetic still has a persistent cough. The rest of us, 4 people, quick recoveries. I'm glad we weren't sick from the beginning. Might have been forced to stay in an expensive "hospitel". I guess the Delta was mich worse to get. Get vaccinated, the next variant may not be so mild.
  6. Niether does your evangilistic look at the bar business in Thailand.
  7. ....Or just chatting away through the fence with others. It's just the way it is here. Our entire family just got it around the 5th of April. We're all recovered and it was very mild. I'm kinda glad we got it over with to build on the immunity of our vaccines.
  8. That highways 2 (mittihap) needs 3 lanes each way. Before you can call Thailand a "logistic hub" this should be a priority. Its the countries main North to South road. Its been mostly 2 lanes since the US built it in the 50's.
  9. You'll need to add salt to the pool for the chlorinator to work. Most resorts and hotels use Chlorinators now because its easier and cheaper to maintain. Here's a article that's easy to understand: https://www.swimuniversity.com/salt-chlorine-generator/#:~:text=A salt water chlorinator makes, and sodium hydroxide (NaOH).
  10. Yes. I just read he was accused of rape in the UK when he was going to private school there.
  11. Perhaps you can get a chlorinator. Alibaba has better deals than anything you can buy locally. I've got an Emaux 45g chlorinator with a timer. Nice if you travel as it doses your pool automatically. They can run 15,000 baht and up but you won't have to be bothered ordering anymore chemicals. Also you won't chlorine red eyes, irritation, or smell with a chlorinator.
  12. Probably want to wait until your clear and testing negative. The contagious stage is usually last 6 days from symptoms arising. https://www.newsnationnow.com/us-news/how-long-is-omicrons-contagious-period/ Our entire family had it. It took about 12 days to feel completely normal. Still two of us have irritating coughs though. Good luck!
  13. Facing 20 years in a Thai prison thats probably be the first thing I would do. Odd how all this happens when he desides to run for governor and bribing people for peanuts is as common as sticky rice.
  14. This is the same guy leading the charge to rid Thailand of Amnesty International. Ultra right wing con man without a clue. "Ultra-royalist figures in Thailand claim that they have secured more than a million signatures expressing support for a plan to expel the international human rights organization Amnesty International from the country." https://thediplomat.com/2022/01/royalists-step-up-campaign-against-thai-chapter-of-amnesty-international/
  15. Totally agree! There's going to be a lot more dissent if diesal prices skyrocket.
  16. The unit of electric is unchanged. Perhaps you left the fridge open by mistake.
  17. People aren't reporting. To much chance you'll be conived into something costly, burdensome, and uneccesary.
  18. Yeah, once she started mentioning yoga and "wellness" resorts. The next you'll know she'll be suggesting all the different temples and cooking classses they can go to.
  19. There just emphasizing that they have taken the recommendation of getting a booster. Old news as a 4th booster is recommended.
  20. Just get paracetamol (Tylenol),plenty of food and water, and subscription to Netflix. Self isolate. Your wife probably has it also. There's nothing else you can do. Out entire family got it two weeks ago. Very mild although we all still have persistent coughs. Fata Jones and some other bone headed herbal remedy being offered (some MP is profiteering). Lay low. You don't want them sticking you into some private hospital where your going to be charged hundreds of thousands of baht to lay in there bed and take paracetamol. We've all recovered. Make sure you have ATK tests to update your situation.. Day 8 we were all testing negative.
  21. Same problems here with the dogs. They've got issued regulated garbage cans with secure lids. I just put the bags in all the different garbage resepticles in our house and throw them in the city garbage cans. We separate most recycle and the people split the recycle rebate between them and Yai, about 60 baht each. Before that they used have an open air garbage dump next to the school. All same time getting paid by the government to collect it and take it to a licensed dump. Big scam until we made a big stink!
  22. Great price and plenty of selection of sizes. Sure beats having rotting fish head parts and leaky diaper residue in your garbage can.
