  1. @XD1 at Phuket thanks for the reply. Which one have you used before?
  2. Good Morning I'm living in Thailand on a Retirement Visa. Does any member living in Thailand, have a suggestion wrt Travel Insurance for the Europe Schengen area? If I were in my home country there would be no issues but I am assuming that being based in Thailand complicates it. Thanks
  3. @TallGuyJohninBKK thanks for the reply, it made me smile and laugh. If that's your underlying question, personally, I don't know the answer to that one...
  4. @hadock @DrJack54@drjackbkk I can't edit out the wrong recipient (sorry) Thanks for taking the time to post. Had you travelled outside of Thailand in the previous 90 days? TM47 maybe is being requested for those who haven't excited and entered recently. I hope I'm understanding this correctly - when you re-enter (reentry permit) that is seen as a notification (90 days start again) as I will be doing my Annual Renewal next week and I'm replying on this.
  5. @DrJack54 Thanks for the reply. The context helps us all to understand the issues. We use the same bank and so 'At Kasikorn they can provide 12 month bank statement on the spot for 200b" is very reassuring. Thanks
  6. @DrJack54 please try to be more specific - are you sure that you were doing the 800K and not the monthly 65k? yesterday you posted saying "For my most recent (few weeks ago) they wanted a TM47 receipt and I also provided bank statements. The previous year they were not happy with just my bankbook and photocopies of pages" The OP is about whether Bank Statements are required using the 800K method for annual extension based on retirement.
  7. HI Yesterday someone posted on another thread i.r.t Retirement Visa Annual renewal "For my most recent (few weeks ago) they wanted a TM47 receipt and I also provided bank statements. The previous year they were not happy with just my bankbook and photocopies of pages". I dm asking "Was this for the 800k or the 65k monthly ?" - no reply yet Any TV member recently done a Retirement Visa Annual @Changwattana based on 800k? Did they ask for Bank Statements or were they satisfied with copies of the bank book and the Bank Letter confirming the deposit amount (usually dated the day before). I appreciate a reply BUT please specific to Changwattana as different Immigration offices behave differently. Thanks
  8. @DrJack54 For my most recent (few weeks ago) they wanted a TM47 receipt and I also provided bank statements. The previous year they were not happy with just my bankbook and photocopies of pages.. Was this for the 800k or the 65k monthly ?
  9. @Digitalbanana yeah you would think so, but some heavy contributors seemed confused (genuinely). Anyway, the question has been answered and I can continue to do my 90 days on line after the annual extension has been granted.
  10. @nana kid I 'think' IO will staple a reminder to your passport with the required date to report by. This would be from the date of the visit to Immigration (be attending you are deemed to have notified your residence. This date remains unless you travel out of Thailand and then the 90 days starts from your return (assuming you got a Re+entry permit). But this will be my first renewal so others with actual experience will reply unless they are confused about annual extension/renewal based on ...
  11. @Tod Daniels Thanks. Yearly extension of stay based on ........ Retirement or my good looks? Strange how I have to provide nearly all the same docs for a Retirement Visa again if it's nothing to do with me being retired. semantics So I can continue to do the 90day reports on line. That's good.
  12. @DrJack54 the retirement Visa needs to be renewed every 12 months, similar to a marriage visa. @Aforek I got my first retirement Visa last year and the irst 90-day report had to be done in person. @KannikaP where you able to do the first 90 day report after the extension on line? Not sure?
  13. Hi Next month I will be doing my first annual renewal of my retirement Visa at Changwatana. My question is in relation to the 90 day report (due 3 months thereafter). Will I be able to do it online as previously or is this deemed a new Visa and so have to report in person the first time. The 90-days starts ticking from the date I applied for the renewal or from the date of the visa extension? Thanks for the assistance.
  14. @Mike T thanks for the reply. We are fine on the document requirements per their website. The main issue is timing. Mathematically it makes it very tight as we will visit mainland Europe first and then fly to Ireland after two weeks travels. DM if you prefer. May I ask a few follow up questions? When did you apply for the Visa, was it possible to submit it more than 3 months in advance, and did it really take 8 to 10 weeks to process?
  15. @DrJack54 "The nationalities of the "WE" would be helpful.. " yes if you had actual first hand experience/knowledge on this topic, it would be very useful
  16. @DrJack54 you don't have to comment on every posting unless you have something of value to add. Your reply indicates you have no first hand experience at applying for a Tourist visa from the Irish Embassy in Bangkok. I appreciate your egerness to help but ....
  17. Hi Any member recently had experience in getting a Tourist visa from the Irish Embassy in Bangkok? We are reading up on it and it would be helpful to talk with someone who has done first hand experience Thanks
  18. Hi Any TVM recently (post covid) done a first Driving License at Mor Chit. I have a DL (from home country) for car and motorbike. Any advice? Thanks PS. Specific to Morchit please
  19. @hioctane I'd appreciate if you could give feedback when you sending money into Thailand.
  20. @hioctane have you recently done a transfer with Western Union? If not, could you give some feedback here, when you have done? Western Union always had a history of additional charges. Maybe they have massively changed.
  21. Hi This will be my first renewal of my Retirement Visa @Changwattana. AFAIK I can do it 45 days early - Right? The main question is, is the extension based on the end of my current visa, lets say November 30, or 365 days from when I make the application for renewal (lets say October 27). Please dont reply unless specific to Changwattana. Thanks
