  1. Suppose I get a non-O extension inside Thailand that doesn't require insurance, what should I expect to pay for a local insurance that covers the basic issues let's say a traffic accident, a heart's attack, etc?
  2. Hi there, I've been reading through this forum and it looks like the 40k/400k insurance needed to apply for a non O-A retirement visa is worthless. Does anyone know about an affordable health insurance that covers major health issues? Age range 60-65. Thanks in advance.
  3. I didn't want to park 800K THB in a Thai bank, but if that is the only option I have then I will have to follow that path, thanks everyone for your advice.
  4. You are right, I wanted to say a visa extension based on retirement. So, I will have to stay in the kingdom during 12 months on visa runs before applying for a non O-A extension based on retirement. My embassy doesn't provide income letters.
  5. Hi there, I would like to apply for a Non Immigrant O-A Retirement Visa inside Thailand based on 65.000 THB monthly deposit. For how long do I have to make monthly bank transfers prior to submit the application at the Immigration Office? What kind of health insurance is required? Thanks for your advice.
  6. Yeah, I hope it works. I was also told that if I paid 5000 baht they would take care of everything, what made me feel it was very suspicious.
  7. Thank you very much for the information, I will print the embassy email reply and try again tomorrow.
  8. Hello everybody, Today I went to the Immigration Office in Hua Hin to apply for a Covid-19 extension and they asked me for a letter from my embassy to confirm my request of stay extension. I contacted my embassy and told me they don't provide this kind of letter anymore because it is not necessary. I know that each Immigration Office has its own rules, so I will have to try in another office. Could you please tell me which Immigration Office in Bangkok should I go to get my covid-19 extension? I entered Thailand visa exempt. Thank you.
  9. Hello everybody, I want to get a Thai motorbike driving license, I have got a Thai car driving license and my home country car and motorbike driving license but I forgot to get an International driving license before coming to Thailand. Can I exchange my home country motorbike driving license for for a Thai one or will I have to take the theory and practice tests to get it? Thank you for reading.
  10. Hi there, As everybody knows the deadline for covid-19 extensions is November 27, unless immigration authorities decide to extend it. My stay permit expires on December 13. In the case that they decide to put an end to covid-19 extensions, do you think I will able to get a covid-19 extension and extend my permit until mid-February 2022 if I apply on November 26, in spite of the fact that my current permit expires on December 13? Thanks
  11. To center the question, Wise would charge 120 € (0.57%) for transferring 21000 €, the exchange rate looks good. My home bank would charge 147 € (0.7%) and probably the exchange rate would be worse, so it's not an option. I'm asking if there is a way to save some euros. Best regards.
  12. Hi there, I need to transfer 800k THB to my Thai bank account in order to apply for a Non-O retirement visa. Do you know which is the better way ( i.e. the cheaper) to do it? (Home bank currency is Euro) Thanks
  13. Yes, I have checked, no flights available, it seems the route has been cancelled.
  14. I bought a cheap onward ticket in order to entry Thailand on a visa exemption scheme, but the flight has been cancelled. Does the airline check the onward flight status at check-in time? Will I have to buy a new ticket? Any alternatives? Greetings.
