  1. I think it is pretty obvious that the money her cash cow (dead husband) provided the money grabbers dried up thus giving them the opportunity to show what a great job they are doing identifying this highly dangerous person. This may not be a 100% true scenario; but, I would bet a lot of money it's damn close.
  2. It's funny that they are trying to attract "wealthy" foreigners when they kicked out one of the richest families in Asia, the Shinawatra's.
  3. You do realize that 3/4; or, more of the stuff sold on Lazada now ships from China. If you are going to order anything from China go with the local "vendor". All those problems/costs will be included in the price. Lazada may have been sourcing from China for a long time; but, I just noticed it in the past six months; or, so.
  4. So, you obviously left out some information ie. having an anaphylaxis reaction is generally due to an allergic reaction. My guess is you are allergic to an antibiotic such as penicillin. Just an FYI, they do ask about allergies while they are putting your information into their computer system. After asking the nurse consults with a doctor before proceeding.
  5. This is the phone number of the nurse/lady that came to notify me 0944540683 in Sisaket. I live in Ban Lao (Phia Nam) just past the PTT station on the way out of town going to Uttamphon. I am not sure what her affiliation is; but, I think having your wife call her directly may be your best bet.
  6. I signed up on Expatvac; and, about 3 months ago the same people came around to sign up everyone in the housing area. They had a round of vaccination (Sinopham) about 2 weeks ago; but, when I went there I was told sorry not your turn. Truthfully, I have no idea if the notification is linked to Expatvac; however, there was another guy from Sisaket who said he was also notified the same day (notification was the same way). In both cases they said Phizer would be used.
  7. No email. As a matter of fact I am not even sure the notification was associated with expatvac. I sort of made that leap/association; because, when I asked which vaccine they said Phizer. The only other place we signed up was with the local tambun probably 3+ months ago; and, they just started vaccinating locals with Sinopham 2 weeks ago (I pretty much got the sorry farong from them at that time). Having said all this, there was a story today that they were sending vaccine out to the provinces. I had already confirmed that would happen this week (posted previously) via a phone call to the Public Health Department.
  8. This is a follow-up to my previous post regarding Phizer vaccine being sent to the provinces (I live in Sisaket). We just got a visit from the tambun nurses wanting a picture of my passport. They said I would be notified (called) to get the Phizer vaccine next week with expected vaccination date to be 24th-25th. Hopefully everyone else waiting will be notified soon as well.
  9. The more appropriate title would be "Foreigners in/around Bangkok".
  10. I was finally able to reach someone (02 590 3832) who had what seemed to be credible information about Expatvac relative to getting it out to the provinces. Supposedly notifications will be mailed to the provincial health authorities this week. Keyword there is mailed; so, expect a few days delay. From that point everyone will be at the mercy of their provincial authorities to be queued up. Best case scenario appointment notifications go out the end of this week. I would think more realistically next week at the earliest. Remember the title of this post ends in "unofficial". I am sure there are a lot of people out there like me, just wanting some news even if it is unofficial.
  11. I did read that; however, having a mia noi is not exclusive to Thai men. Stupidity is not limited to one nationality.
  12. I haven't seen the complete story; but, that doesn't look like a Thai's house. It looks more like it was done by someone who knows damn well he has nothing to lose by trashing the house. His Thai wife owns everything.
  13. In the U.S. a good divorce lawyer making a claim that she didn't know what she was signing will make all those documents not worth the paper they are written on. If you don't believe that you're living in a fantasy world.
