2 Questions: Let's say I test +ve on day 1 or day 5, and they want me to quarantine at a hospital and pay out of pocket and then bill my insurance cos that's the scenarios I'v read. 1- What happens If I say F you I'm not paying or I don't have money to pay ? how can they force me to pay first out of pocket and then bill my insurance ? 2- Can I refuse to go to hospital since I'm asymptomatic and insist to quarantine at the Hotel. ? I'm speaking in regards to Phuket Test and Go ONLY, I read some people did that and they isolated at their own cost at a hotel rather than a hospital.

I live in LA, and I know what you are talking about. today just went to Ventura county fair and was surprised and amazed that I only saw few people wearing a mask outdoors while 2-3 thousand people are back to normal thank God, I think few more month here and people will be back to our good old norms, and I'm hoping Thailand and other places by mid or end of 2022 will also normalize.

I appreciate you, the conversion will take place in the US and it’s a very high rate. So from my main bank it’ll be sent to MoneyGram converted and the. Sent to hopefully my Thai bank as Bahts. Or else I’ll use your method of course

Tha k you for that, never heard of them I’ll take a look, I compared 6 different services and MoneyGram gave me the highest conversion rate and lowest fees just slower than others, but I’ll definitely look into wise.

Hi Expats, US passport holder will stay in LOS minimum 5 months. 1- I need a bank that has good Bank app for iOS. 2- conveniently across Thailand branches or ATM’s either is fine. 3- No fees on ATM withdrawal or debit card transactions (In Baht of course) I will transfer money from the US to this Thai Bank Account via MoneyGram or PayPal once every two weeks it’ll be transferred as Thai Baht, so I can use it right away whether cash by ATM withdrawal or by using the debit card to pay for stuff. CIMB or Bangkok Bank is more superior and dominant ? Unless there’s a third better option that fits my needs. Thank you guys.

I didn’t know that and honestly it’s very helpful since I heard great things about Vietnam. I’m aware of the Japanese passport ranking it makes you wonder. I think the US passport rank as the 4th or 5th powerful passport based on ease of entrance to other countries. Im not understanding the big difference between visa exempt and visa on entry since It really affect me either way. I’m still debating between the 60 days tourist visa or the visa exempt entry. We’ll see. Speaking of Vietnam I just read that Anthony bourdain fav country was Vietnam and he shot a total of 9 episodes about Vietnam different shows over the years, It makes me wanna see it.

I’ll try the tourist visa just cos it gives me 15 more days and it’s only $80. If it’s too much hassle then I’ll just skip it. Isn’t it great to have such a a great passport like the US passport.

Exactly. Can I still do that ? Or safer get the tourist visa for 60 days from the embassy here in the US. And by that my chances are better so I get the 30 days tourist visa extension and the. Hopefully if they still have the Covid extension in place then I can try and apply for it. So I’m not risking anything if I make sense at all. What are you guys thinking ?

Dude, you misunderstood my question but thanks for the effort. That’s what everyone is trying to tell you. My passport has enough blank pages to travel the world so having space for stamps is not the point. Hope that clarifies everything. Peace!

I read in few websites as well as here that in LOS I can get standard extension as well as Covid extension even If I don’t have tourist visa on my US Visa exempt Passport. When I called the Thai Embassy to verify, I was told The immigration office in LOS can’t and won’t give me any extension stamps if I don’t have any tourist visa in my passport. without sarcasm and negativity if you can help me or let me know which one is correct with any evidence or proof or links as a proof to your answer I would be very thankful and appreciative.

Okay, that's a good start to be aware of the other options, is there any info on google or here that discuss more how does this bracelet work or even confirms if no smart phone then a bracelet will be mandatory, Just curious ? I tried google and here and couldn't find anything confirming that.

Question if you know, What happens or how does it work if I arrive at the airport for the Phuket sandbox and I don’t have a smartphone. Just a regular old phone without camera or GPS or capability of downloading apps. What would be the other options ? Thank you.

I read yesterday here on this website that the UK added Thailand to the red list meaning when he goes back to the UK he needs to quarantine at a hotel for two weeks also lol
