  1. the above is regarding me travelling to Thailand, not me reapplying for a visa in country..
  2. from the Thai Embassy re my query. " Regarding to your query, when you are applying for Non Immigrant “O” (retirement) visa through Royal Thai Embassy, you need to submit “Health insurance policy with minimum coverage of 40,000 THB/year for outpatients and 400,000 THB/year for inpatients, and covering the entire duration of the applicant's stay in Thailand to further processing your Visa application. Once your visa is being approved by the Royal Thai Embassy, you can apply for COE (Certificate of Entry) online and you need to submit Health Insurance certificate” with coverage of at least 100,000 USD including treatment for COVID-19 to further processing your COE application. For further assistance you may contact the health insurancs directly.
  3. Kia Ora I know whats written above but I am still confused as not use to insurance speak.. I am 67yrs and wanting to return to Thailand to be with my longtime girlfriend and family...I thought if you were over 50yrs and wanted a Retirement Visa you needed health insurance, and on top of that needed $100000US covid cover...A top thai insurance company has given me confusing info..one is Long Stay Policy 400000 IPD x 40000 OPD but apparently this does not cover covid 19, and they send another plan Thailand Sawasdee that does cover covid....am I to get both Plans for a Retirement Visa and Certificate of Entry?
