I used the CDC card and supplemented it with the QR code screenshot provided by my states Department of Health as we have an online ID app that provides merchants with an authenticated copy of our license and there’s a tab to add your vaccination status put both images into a Word .docx document titled it with my full passport name date of birth and passport # maybe a belts and suspenders approach but i had read having the QR code would expedite my Pass. I’m still here trip is winding down

Just to give a more positive spin on my T&G experience arrived Qatar Air early morning 5 Feb met the hazmat team as customer #3 paperwork checked in less than 5 minutes no line at immigration met my luggage coming out of the chute immediately I was through customs 23 minutes from exiting the aircraft and barely started scanning the hotel boards before my host grabbed me and had me in the hotel van on our way to the mobile Covid test site just outside the airport grounds. Made it to our 1 day quarantine hotel Golden Tulip Mandison checked in slept got our 3 meals and our negative result back by 1 pm we could have left them then but chose to stay and get our moneys worth and spend the night. Yes it was expensive 9000 baht for both of us in a larger suite but the experience was painless. We moved around Bangkok freely as we had planned to check in to Hua Hin hospital for Day 5 second test. Just bring your pink slip from Arrival and the Government picks up your cost. They had it set up outside in tents. Whole process took less than 10 minutes I know the newer version of Test and Go requires a second hotel reservation which we didn’t need but all in all I’ve been pleased and we e been roaming steady since day 5

Does anybody have recent experience entering Thailand with a Test and Go (1.0) QR code (application accepted before the December 22 cutoff) Test and Go 2.0 requires the additional 5th night SHA hotel stay to get the QR code. I read that arrivals in January just had to go somewhere on day 5 or 6 for their additional PCR test at Government Expense. I am just trying to anticipate what might happen on arrival when they scan my old code. I am fortunate that I am traveling with my Thai partner who normally drags me through her immigration lane but who knows this time around its been 2.5 years since I've been back. At least she can try and talk to them because I have had no communication from Them since I received my original code in early December. fingers crossed and I cant believe I am actually on my way back to my adopted home after such a long absence.

ok just saw an announcement its a SCAM email do not open attachment, running virus protection now...damn edit: Saved by Malwarebytes, they even spoofed the email of the consulate. be careful out there. I usually can spot a phishing scam email from a mile away but I fell for this. I guess they know people really want to get back to Thailand and are hypersensitive to being denied entry if their paperwork is amiss.

Ok Im officially lost, I just received an email from Thailand Pass for My February 5th arrival, (I am an original 1 night PCR case QR code received prior to the Dec 22 cutoff, cant even open the attachment but apparently I am supposed to be updating some information (assuming they want my day 5 hotel information--which i do not have as I was under the assumption they just told you to report somewhere on day 5/6 for the second test) anybody else go through this last minute clusterf**k

OK so it is my understanding that if My Test and Go was approved prior to the Dec 22 suspension that I DO NOT have to book a second SHA+ hotel for night 5? I will be given a list of hospitals to conduct my day 5/6 second test.? Flying in Feb 5th but received my QR code in mid Novmber

So my Feb 5 arrival code is still valid correct? If I am reading correctly, I need to provide my test and go 1 night notel where I will stay on night 5 and then go to a govrnment facility for an additional RT-PCR test at goverment expense?

Im scheduled to arrive February 5th with Thailand Pass QR code in hand. As a treat I brought my thai partner to the States for the holidays and was just able to get here signed up on Thailand Pass going back with me with about 3 hours before the midnight deadline. I feel confident they will approve Thai Nationals if not I will send her back a week early to do quarantine (again) last time it was 2 weeks in the Summer of 2021. I dont have a problem with the additonal 7 day PCR test I just hope they dont panic and cancel all existing Thailand Pass entrants (Current stance notwithstanding).
