  1. Can I also use the 60 day extension because my child is Thai. Not married but got a Thai kid.
  2. Do I need to show 400k in the bank for the initial non o visa based on having a Thai child? I don't mean the yearly renewal in country. I mean just going to Laos, Cambodia or Malaysia and applying for the 90 day single entry? Also....is that single entry o visa extendable by another 60 day? Some sort of family extension because you're married or have a Thai child.
  3. That doesn't exist. They can issue either a single-enry visa or a multi-entry visa. It's worth noting that each 90-day entry with such a Non-O visa based on marriage can be extended by 60 days for "visiting" one's wife, so even a single-entry visa allows quite a long stay in Thailand. I can't find any information that the single entry non o visa can be extended by 60 days for thai child or marriage purposes.
  4. @stevehaigh -can someone send me the contact of the dude between chalong circle and homepro?
  5. So I went to the location today. Between Chalong circle and home pro on the left. 50 metres or so past Hayaek. It's also worth mentioning that I've driven past this area countless of times in my two years here. There is a motorcycle shop but they don't do paint jobs I was told. She tried to direct me to an area which was behind DLUX condo round the corner a bit. Is the business still there cause I could not find it.
  6. Loving these answers. My lady is amazing in many ways. So sweet, thoughtful, best cook ever, etc, etc. We have a son that is due in 2 months, but she told me from the beginning she has a bad temper sometimes. During the 27 months we've been together, she's threatened me with police. Run at me with a knife, attempted to run out a window. It took me so long to realise that there is no point arguing with this lady. Be quiet and let it play out for an hour or two. Eventually she's cute again if I don't argue back. Despite all this, I feel it makes me a stronger man cause in the past I'd always have retaliated. Thailand and this lady have inadvertently helped me with my bad anger problems that I brought here from the UK. Because of her I'm a calmer happier person than I was before.
  7. Thanks for all your replies. It may help to know we are only staying in Phuket for 4 months before moving to Nakhon Phanom for the birth, and then onto Korat. I liked reading a couple of you guys debating over what the real Thailand is. As I've just stated, I'll be in Phuket, Nakhon Phanom and Nakhon Ratchasima over the next 6 months, so I'll let you all decide which province is the real Thailand. 555
  8. Where is the best area of Phuket to live for a guy and his pregnant girlfriend? Beach location preferred.
  9. Beautiful schools but unaffordable. My child will go to a government school.
  10. All the more reason to ask seeing as I won't be living in my country. Very responsible of me ????
  11. Can anyone give any advice as to the best beach location to raise a child? I've previously lived in Chumphon, but now working remotely and have a baby on the way with my Thai partner. I have considered Hua Hin and Phuket, Krabi, Samui, Trang, Rayong and even Chanthaburi. Any suggestions?
