  1. I agree with this, I tried simvastatin on 2 occasions several years apart. After about a month, excruciating pains in upper muscles of my legs and diarrhoea. Doctor ran some tests and liver results were 3x upper range! Stopped taking them and went back within normal levels when blood checked again a few weeks later.
  2. Are we kidding ourselves with statins? Higher cholesterol less cancer risk than lower cholesterol. https://www.pennmedicine.org/news/news-releases/2016/april/cholesterol-levels-not-statins I've read before that from all the studies, statins have no benefit to normal healthy people unless they have already had a cardiac event.
  3. Yes, agree considering 85% of deaths in road traffic accidents are motorcycle users.
  4. Not to mention the heavily charred meat containing cancer causing chemicals. They are tasty though! 😁
  5. Download a pdf printer. When then select printer, and option save as pdf will be there. Then just save your file on the hard disk. I'm sure windows has the option 'Microsoft Print to PDF' as one of the options as standard in the printers.
  6. All the statements I provided for my wife's visas have been downloaded and never stamped at a bank. Never had a problem. I had a letter from my employer stating annual salary and salary per month. Think I might have highlighted the salary on each statement so they could quickly see they cross referenced.
  7. £4.5k gold bracelet, yeah right! If it was just gold, at that price it would be one big bracelet! Would stand out like a beacon!
  8. 'he slipped while trying to descend from the stairs and fell to the ground'... Hopefully his launch was helped by said monk. I'd say he was lucky, considering the fate of the man who damaged Rahman statue at Erewan shrine some years ago!
  9. Hi mate, If you're feeling a little overwhelmed at the moment, try the following: 1. Stop or drastically reduce your reliance of alcohol. Getting out of mind problems, you got to start by making it healthy. Stopping drinking will clear your mind to help you on your way. Alcohol just impairs your judgement. 2. Don't use diazepam or any other benzodiazapines. They may seem to help initially, but they quickly become a crutch and you will want to rely on them, adding to your addictions. 3. Ditch caffeine and use caffeine-free/decaf alternatives. Caffeine wreaks havoc on your mind by overstimulating it. This was the no 1 factor of my anxiety problems. Ditching this was like switching off my anxiety. 4. Exercise. Get out and do some walking. You don't have to run marathons, plenty of walking is fine. Go look around, find out stuff that interests you. Take photos, talk to people. 5. Take a notepad and pen and write down a list of the things bothering you. Then tackle each one individually, making notes on how you will make better or eliminate your problems. Writing them down allows your mind to let go of them instead of them swirling around your head all the time. 6. Get sleep. Put the phone down and get plenty of sleep. A good sleep can help you feel so much better. 7. Keep hydrated. Drink plenty of fluids, preferably water, your brain is mostly water and dehydration can affect your mind. 8. Get some easy music on an mp3 player and go listen to it at a beach or park to chill out. Mind problems can be really debilitating at times, but if you treat it well and give it a break to let it relax, you can overcome them and come out better the other side. I'm living proof of that. Best of luck. ????
  10. My son had episodes like this when he was 5 or 6, worse when he had a cold. He is very active and not an ounce of fat on him. He would sometimes take deeper breaths and his lips would blow out a bit when exhaling. One night when he was full of cold he was sucking his stomach in to breathe so called for help. Been fine since. Doctor gave him an inhaler with Aerochamber diffuser to use if he is visibly puffing out but rarely needs it. I find he sometimes has persistent little coughs too when he is at his worst. Doctor said they can't diagnose asthma at that age so have to wait until he's a little older before he can do tests. You could get a SpO2 meter to pop on his finger to test if he is getting enough oxygen, very cheap to buy. If that's OK, he might have a mild asthma or just as others have said, could even be a little stress. Give him plenty of love and attention to distract his mind ????
  11. Just had my Pfizer booster in UK, 6 months after 2nd AZ jab.
  12. Ever thought of getting your partner here to study? A pricy option but would give the opportunity to get the living together ticked off. That's what my wife did. She had a Thai bachelors degree and came to UK to study a masters degree. She had option to stay in UK after. Before her visa expired, she got a partner visa. I had to work abroad and we got married there, came back to UK as a spouse and start process again. She just became a citizen after 5 years. Bonus with a UK degree is that it satisfies the English requirement too.
  13. Same here, I vape but can never understand the clouds. I never touch cigs in UK, but have no option but to buy cigs when visiting Thailand to the annoyance of my family. Feel as guilty as hell when I do. I vape MTL with a mild, pretty neutral, home made dessert flavour which has a pleasant aroma, much better than the stink of cigarettes. I produce very little vape 'smoke' using it this way. At 50, I don't have any cough like I did as a regular smoker, and I can blow a peak flow meter off the scale, which is more than my much younger non smoking counterparts.
