  1. The sliding glass door to the balcony has a small but noticeable gap which I would like resolved. Possibly just needs an adjustment or repair to the wheels, but it wasn't a quick fix so building maintenance is not interested in working on it beyond their cursory inspection. Any recommendations for door companies which install and service sliding glass doors in the Watthana district of Bangkok?
  2. Anyone have a recommendation for an A/C company in the vicinity of the Watthana district of Bangkok for cleaning of A/C and filters?
  3. Somewhat related, I would love if I could purchase with grab using my credit card, but after reaching out to support, they said their local bank handling the processing doesn't support US cards as the US banks have newer 3DS and the Thai banks (at least the one grab uses) are lagging behind. They won't disable the 3DS requirement either, so it's cash only.
  4. Out of curiosity, why would you want a middleman handling your credit card purchases? Do they pay a lot for that privilege?
  5. Please let us know where Lazada touched you and how it made you feel.
  6. Big money being paid for the details of your mobile device, location, browsing and shopping habits, etc. Advertisers along with government agencies and their contractors can't get enough of it.
  7. My current school said I would need to take a test if taking a break from classes. I was under the impression that breaks from the monthly classes for one-on-one lessons and/or travel were expected based on the number of classes available vs the amount of time available for the visa... 7 or 8 classes vs 12 or so months of visa eligibility.
  8. Thanks, that makes sense. Not sure why they don't want to do this, unless they're unaware.
  9. I'm currently enrolled at a language school and inquired with a different school about enrolling there. They said I could take classes there but they couldn't help with the visa as I obtained the visa initially at my current school. Is it a law/policy with either Ministry of Education or Immigration Bureau that you can only obtain a visa from a single school during ~ 1 year of studying Thai, or is this just a policy at this school?
  10. And this is possible from a TR visa? I can go visa exempt but I'd prefer to be on a TR visa to have a bit more time just in case.
  11. Spoke to a language school who said I would be able to switch to an Ed visa once in Thailand as it's impossible to get one outside of the country for the time being. Is this possible to do with the visa exempt stamp and TR visa? Are they correct in stating that I can make the change at an immigration office and won't need to visit an embassy outside of the country as I've had to do in the past with a business visa?
  12. I also received quotes from AA for ACS and April, April also being a French company with a presence in Thailand. Looking at Cigna as well as they are similarly priced. The ACS experiences above from Mark and phetphet are quite helpful. Anyone have experiences to share with April or Cigna, good or bad?
