  1. (Used to have an account for Thaivisa, but I've forgotten the details, so signed up with new account here) Does anyone have any suggestions for where is currently the easiest place to apply for a normal single entry 2 month tourist visa, without applying a "residents only" rule? I am a UK citizen, my wife is an Australian citizen, and we want to come to Thailand for 2-3 months next year. "In the old days" we would just have got 2 month visas and extended a month, but now it seems impracticable, if not impossible, I recently discovered the Thai Embassy in London is not issuing visas to people without residence in the UK, which my wife doesn't have. I've checked a few of the embassies/ consulates elsewhere in Europe and they seem to apply similar rules. We are currently physically located in Italy and planning to fly via London, but we could move the flights around and fly via somewhere else if there is a more flexible Thai embassy / consulate on the way... The only possibility I can think of is to fly to Malaysia and *try* to get one there, assuming Malaysia accepts incoming tourists by then, but I can see threads on the forum discussing how some Thai consulates in Malaysia are requesting return tickets to country of residence, i.e. I would need a ticket back the UK and she would need a ticket back to Australia, which we won't have. I guess Singapore might be a possibility, I can't find any discussion of the requirements there, and the official site doesn't categorically say, one way or the other. I can't think of any other locations that might be flexible but are also accessible under covid restrictions... Or is this not worth the hassle, i.e. we should give up on trying to get a visa, just come for 30 days, extend for 15, then leave and go somewhere else?
