Every country has its silly laws . Maybe ,just maybe a few people couldn't buy one day ,but stocked up the next day . I keep enough for a month at home .

Why not allow 6 moth visas ...so many want to winter here. Also ,how about a volunteer visa ,to spend time in schools talking English to teachers and students

And yet ,I live in the far south east ...test province . Pollution is rare here . could not live with it .

Thailand is full off wonders .

The only thing that they will pay attention to is if it costs them a lot off money . Including fining patents off underage drivers . The only way police will enforce is if they personally get money from it . But the big picture ..every single thai I talk to about it ...laughs . They simply don't care .....horrifing

I think you should work for the amount off time you are required to stay in your home country ,seasonal . Then go back and forth for a few years to see how it works for you three . I also think you need to give a lot more info for people to be able to advise you . Your age ,kids age ,what country you are from ,etc . You might be surprised that others from your country have suggestions you have not thought about . Long term you just simply need more money . Lots work in different county's out there. I have done 6 months in Thailand and six months working in Canada for 20 years . Works for visa ,tax,pension .
