  1. Well said Nicola Sturgeon and Rebecca Evans. Stop fuelling a war that cannot be won and get the actor/comedian/president Zelenskyy back to the negotiating table.
  2. 1969 Mach 1 351 Cleveland - about 5.7 litres. Had to leave it in England when I came here. My pickup is not so meaty.
  3. Yeah, my Mustang loves EVs.
  4. Yes, bad connection. The extension lead has probably got a better connector and compensates for the NEC's weak/poor connector.
  5. Thank you for reminding me! I just checked through my LMG file and found this note in it: I originally got the LMG 400k/40k insurance in April 2020 for my O-A extension at Phuket Immi. In April 2021 I did the same but, at Phuket Immi., I was given the insurance certificate back. So that's when I wrote the note to myself to get the insurance in 2022, but not give the certificate to Immigration. That's what I did and got my O-A Extension without problems this year. So the question now is, will Phuket Immi. want to see the new 3,000,000 baht insurance certificate next April?
  6. I thought Russia left to allow a safe corridor for boat to collect grain. Yes, that is what the Russians said, but I don't buy it. It's also implying that they were blockading the port of Odessa, stopping the grain exports. So that was a dumb statement. They should've just said that the rock had served its purpose and they are moving on.
  7. If only the Russians had some sort of boat they could use to threaten the island with. Snake Island served its purpose. It was a distraction for the Ukrainians and the West. The Russians took Snake Island easily at the start, but it has no strategic value for them - it's a rock. And while the Ukrainians and the West were distracted by it, the Russians were taking Severodonetsk and Lysychansk in the Donbas region. So they left a rock with population zero, and now control two cities - Severodonetsk and Lysychansk - in the industrial heartland, population 300,000.
  8. More details please!
  9. Thanks, I hadn't seen that video before. The last comment by "Max Long" is interesting. He repeats what Reuters news agency reported: https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/russia-says-hit-weapons-depot-kremenchuk-caused-fire-shopping-center-2022-06-28/ - which was that the target was a weapons depot next to the mall, according to the Russian defence ministry. They say the store contained arms received from the United States and Europe, and they exploded after the missile hit, causing the mall to catch fire.
  10. Looks like he should've posted on here what his plans were and then maybe he would've received some useful advice!
  11. Hopefully he will let me know by email what problems, if any, he had getting to his final destination which is somewhere in Europe - he's putting his two Thai daughters through "English" school. I forget which country.
  12. My friend emailed me an hour ago: Tomorrow he's going to get a "Vaccination WHO yellow book", whatever that is, and that he is "transiting" not "visiting". So he saved himself 15,000 baht (3 x 5,000). I hope he's right! I presume he's getting 3 of these books/cards - for him and his two kids, or maybe one book/card covers all three.
  13. Looks like 5,000 baht x3 is what he'll have to pay.
  14. Sorry - all I know is that they are travelling on Qatar Airways to Qatar. https://www.qatarairways.com/en-kr/offers/templates/PCR-TEST.html "Medical test requirement For the safety of all passengers, Qatar Airways requires passengers travelling from certain gateways to present a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR medical test result when checking in. "
  15. A friend of mine and his two kids are flying to Qatar. Qatar Airways requires a negative result for the RT-PCR test from all three of them. Anyone know where to get such a test? He's having trouble finding one that costs less than 5,000 baht!
  16. So you don't understand, do you? This was a negotiating tactic by Putin to let everyone know that Zelensky and the West needs to get back to the negotiating table. Why can't you see that? At least the Ukrainians do: "Ukrainian presidential adviser Mykhailo Podolyak denied that the peace negotiations were stalled and said Russia is trying to put pressure on Ukraine through such public statements. The “negotiations are extremely difficult," Podolyak told Ukraine’s Pravda. “But they are taking place.” " https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2022/04/12/russia-putin-belarus-lukashenko-ukraine-war/
  17. Kind of irrelevant, he's widely popular and had garnered strong international respect. But to answer your question he was voted in by a big margin. He was a popular comedic actor TV star who played at being the president of Ukraine. Just like now.
  18. General Sir Patrick Sanders and Prime Minister Boris Johnson should both resign.
  19. I get readings like that if I miss my swimming regime for a couple of days I'm seriously considering getting back to my "pre-Covid days" walks up Monkey Hill in Phuket Town. When the virus arrived, they blocked the road up the hill, but I think it's open again now.
  20. I am so sorry to hear that. You must be devastated. Nothing else I can say.
