  1. But I want to have lessons independently of Visa... so why not take the opportunity and have both..?
  2. I've reached the most popular schools, around 6, and everyone said they could easily grant me ED visa... but also very quick to give me their bank accounts number ????
  3. I wanted to go because I really have the dream to visit the EXPO. Not to mention I still have kind of honeymoon, with tour, activities, hotels, flights, everything planned. I always thought Re-entry permit was an easy thing to get so I was counting on it. My point is she was giving wrong information that schools cant give ED visas... So from my point of view she also giving me wrong information that I lose my tourist visa with re-entry. I think I just wait to get to Phuket immigration and see if they can assure my tourist visa don't get compromised, and decide from there...
  4. Dear friend, my embassy just said I could not enter Thailand if I leave Thailand. Even if I got re-entry permit my tourist Visa would become invalid. Also, she said It's impossible a school to grant me an ED visa. That there isn't one singe Language school in Thailand that can provide me an ED Visa. And she strongly advice me to not see any money, that I would lose my money and get no visa. (I felt I shouldn't told her that I see youtubers getting ED visa all the time) She seemed very knowledge and responsible... why is she trying to discourage me?
  5. Hi. Just just received this mail from Alpha Language school saying I couldn't get re-entry permit... "We can start with the documents just after you arrival then you will.travel then you will get visa on arrival when you return and in this moment we will start to apply.for your Ed visa. That is possible too." But the VOA is only 15 days... I think is a too small window even applying before going to dubai...
  6. One more question... How about the proof of accommodation for my partner Thailand Pass? Do I simply ask the hotel to include also my partners name on the accommodation certificate, and use same certificate on both Passes? And can I apply to Thailand pass while still on Thailand? Because 1 week in Dubai might be enough time for approval Thanks
  7. Well but the answer was right at the end around 07:55 As the employee said, just need letter from embassy and passport. I checked online and it seemed to confirm the Bangkok Bank is the only one, or at least the easiest one, to open an account during tourist visa.
  8. Yes it's terrifying not knowing who you can trust... according to WMP, 53% of rape victims are raped by family members or friends.
  9. I simply thought It would be possible and easy getting a re-entry permit on tourist visa. I felt confident about it and didn't give anymore thought about it. Easy peasy I thought. And from there I would just get an ED Visa, bank account etc... Yes Dubai was... is a dream and a lot of effort went into planning it. I'm very close to give up on the Dubai dream and just enter on tourist visa and stay in Thailand But just yesterday I was watching Expo TV and there was a big message on the video projection on the al wasl plaza about the word "Impossibe"... So I keep receiving signs that I shouldn't give up now ???? Monday I have appointment with my embassy to give them my passport and pay, as my visa was pre approved. Still not sure If I just gave up and go with tourist visa or don't give up and go visa exemption route. Something I need to decide in the next 48h... For the bank account I assumed I rent 1 year place to get the Tabien baan and open account on Bangkok bank, like this guy did https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FRW5Cv0tvBs I still want to learn Thai for several reasons besides the visa. Thank you so much everyone and Jack, that was 10x more helpful them my embassy. Really appreciate!
  10. Thank you so much! But I still don't get what you mean with better options... You mean after tourist visa and extension visa expire, I do a visa run? Apply for visa in a nearby country? My embassy says most countries will not grant a visa to non nationals. Need to confirm on embassies. Last thing I want is to go back to Europe just to apply again...
  11. Thank you all. I actually do want to learn, and of course, the 3 month stay will be very handy. So after I marry it is better to get the non O visa rather then a marriage visa. Thanks
  12. Thanks that was very helpful indeed. I though the non O was a requirement to get the marriage visa. But now I understand I only need the non O requirements, not the visa it self right? Regarding the Dubai trip, and Education school say I can get ED visa before I go, and when I come back there's still time to get approved on ED visa. They say it will take 3 weeks. But I think I can change the Dubai trip 1 week earlier. So after I come from Dubai I still have 1 month and 1 week to wait for ED Visa approval... I'm 39
  13. Thank to so much! I'm aware of all the sandbox requirements. What I don't understand is the visa applications, and this has been extremely stressful experience for me and my partner. We want to marry and be together but the more information we gather the more we are lost. The current plan is: - 24th February arrival to Phuket on tourist visa - Apply to ED Visa on school and apply for reentry permit - 20th March departure to Dubai - 26th March arrival again in Thailand I can't change from tourist visa or ED visa to Marriage visa right? So the best way is Exemption visa > ED Visa > 90 Day Non Immigrant Visa > Marriage right? I think better hire Siam legal services... Thanks
