  1. I got STV with 1 covid extension which ends on 28 march on my Hong Kong passport. So I decided to go to my first visa run to Cambodia. I have read a lot of people who were denied entry or questioned by the IO for a long time. So I did prepare extra documents for them. Documents to go to Cambodia 1. E-visa (2 copies at least) 36usd for 30 days 2. COVID-19 certificate hard copy 3. Hotel booking confirmation ➢ no need insurance ➢ no more Pre-flight PCR test At Cambodia immigration, they just take a look at my e visa and I am good to go. I am eligible to have the visa exemption entry to Thailand but I prefer to get the TR for safety. Applying TR in Cambodia ➢ Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months ➢ Visa application form ➢ 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm photograph ➢ Evidence of travel in and out of Thailand (i.e. air ticket receipt paid in full) ➢ Evidence of adequate finance for the entire duration of stay in Thailand (at least 1,000 USD per person or 2,000 USD per family) ➢Copy hotel reservation for 1st day ➢ 40 usd single entry for 60 days i went on Monday morning and collected on Wednesday afternoon. I don’t use an agent and no questions asked by the embassy staff. I see some people are rejected but non sure they are apply which type of the visa. Entry to Thailand ➢ Thailand pass ➢ Certificate of vaccination ➢ Pre flight 72 hours PCR test (for travelers before 31/3) ➢ Insurance ➢ SHA++ hotel confirmation Again, the officer just take a look at my passport and no questions asked. Some people in front of me are questioned by the officer “why you stay so long in Thailand?” “Do you have a flight out ticket to your home country.” Thank you fall for your help and I hope my experience and the above checklist will help you. Last question is do I need to file TM30 again after I leave test and go hotel?
  2. I got 1 covid extension after STV which will expire on 22 March. I am 27 from Hong Kong. i work as a digital nomad. I have no way to come back Hong Kong due to current covid situation and the government measures.
  3. Is there any cambodia agent can help me to get the visa other than apply TR? I dont want to take risk at BKK airport not allowed to enter to Thailand.
  4. Coz STV cannot change to other visa. If they ask why i stay for a long time in thailand. My answer is i stay here for a year and really want to learn thai, so i would like to get the ed visa. I have prepared the bank statement in case they want to take a look. I use Bangkok Bank in Hua Hin
  5. Anyone have successfully in getting TR in Cambodia? This is the first time to border run so i want everything get prepared before i go. i am currently on STV with covid extension. Do the thai embassy will require other documents other than specified on their website? What do you submit to apply the TR? Please share to me! Required Documents Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months Visa application form completely filled out and signed Recent 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm photograph of the applicant Evidence of travel in and out of Thailand (i.e. air ticket receipt paid in full) Evidence of adequate finance for the entire duration of stay in Thailand (at least 1,000 USD per person or 2,000 USD per family) The other question is i would like to apply the retirement visa for my family. i opened bank account in hua hin branch but i relocated to pattaya recently. Can i still get the bank statement letter in the pattaya branch or will they require me to open a new bank account? Thank you in advance.
  6. Yes. STV can only stay up to 270 days, but i saw many people from US with STV also get the 60 days extension successfully.
  7. I am from Hong Kong on STV visa, already finished 270 days stay. I have seen many people successful in getting 60 days COVID extension. However, i went Hua Hin immigration to apply COVID visa. On the first day, the IO said I need to get embassy letter. The second day i brought the Chinese embassy letter which was adviced by the Chinese embassy staff via phone to the immigration office. The IO first chop me the stamp to get 15 days and returned later to get 45 more days. After that, the IO said he cannot give me the stamp as the supervisor refused. He asked why i cannot come back Hong Kong, i answered i have no way to book the quarantine hotel and flight for 2 days later. He asked if i can show the flight 2 months later, i said of coz i can. But then the supervisor still refused to give the stamp to me. I think they have many many excuses not give stamp, eg. the embassy letter, the flight.... But these documents i have already prepared on the next day and the IO still cant give the chop. Really speechless. What can i do as my visa due 20Jan. Can i just go to Bangkok immigration to try or any other easier immigration? TIA
  8. 60 DAY EXTENSION OF VISA DUE TO COVID QUESTION I am from Hong Kong and holding STV visa. I have used 270 days and would like to apply the 60 days of extension. My visa is until 20jan. I tried to call the Thai consulate embassy in Hong Kong and china. But they said they don’t give embassy letter to prove that I can’t back to Hong Kong or issuing letter saying they don't issue those letters. The Hua Hin Immigration insist that I have to submit the embassy letter in order for me to get the 60 days extension. But I have no way to get it as no one issue that letter. Can someone share the letter from their embassy for me? Thank you in advance
