  1. I can't help feeling that the foreigners submitting unnecessary tax returns and making unnecessary enquiries are almost volunteering to pay a tax or at the very least giving the Thai tax revenue department ideas which initially they didn't have. As i said before, they were going afyer tax dodging Thais and not us. Sit tight and do nothing. Only react to clear instructions and nothing more.
  2. I say the motorbike taxi guy did in some way try to rob him and that's why the fight started. I mean i wouldn't trust one of those punks under any circumstances, especially when he was up against a drunk tourist late at night. As for the Bolt driver, i find it hard to believe why the Brit would just attack him for no reason. Again, i reckon the Bolt driver thought he saw an opportunity to make some easy cash out of a drunken tourist and perhaps thought he would jump on the MC riders thieving bandwagon but picked on the wrong guy who fought back and gave him a beating.
  3. Because initially it was not aimed at the average Joe foreigner. It was meant for rich Thais bringing in income from abroad. If we all do/did nothing then that would be it and far too complicated for the Thais to do anything about it.
  4. Total rip off lady drinks and i never buy them. The only type of bar i would go to like that and pay a premium for my own drinks would be somewhere like the Windmill in Pattaya, then if one of the show girls lets me have a grope then i will tip her with cash.
  5. And we won't be rushing out to get one either. Sit tight and wait for them to contact you first
  6. I for one will not at this stage be filing any tax returns. So far nobody has asked me to so why should i volunteer to and give the authorities ideas on how to increase their revenue with something which is really aimed at wealthy, tax dodging Thais. If and only if things get said or obstacles are put in front of my wish to live here will i then look at ways to declare my income as non taxable in Thailand. I fear once the first few farangs start unecessarily paying any tax then the tightening and implementing of rules will begin. I've removed a recommendation to go against current tax law. 7. Use Brave Browser. That will eliminate all those ads
  8. Not changed his profile, he's just using some of his other aliases more often now.
  9. Suprised he took a bus. I thought boats were his prèfered mode of transport
  10. Let's not beat about the bush. I'm calling this as insurance fraud from our Sri Lankan friend who also happens to have an Australian passport like so many others do.
  11. And you can only imagine what other crimes he commited and got away with in his police career. And there will be hundereds of others like him still in the job.
  12. Blame the driver for something the father/brother or uncle did....maybe?
  13. Flog the motor and then with the proceeds buy a one way ticket back to Norway
