  1. Funny to read all those who smoke "weed" everyday or every other day and boasting that they are not addicted. There's no reason to start smoking "weed" at all. All the so-called treatment from cannabis is actually the "myth". People just want to feel good by it. If you can't stop smoking cannabis forever, you ARE addicted.
  2. No doubt, a big, bloody protest looms. The people's mandate has been robbed in broad daylight. What's the use of going to vote if the person selected by the majority can't be elected? All the so called 715 parliamentary committee members on the junta payroll should be kicked out - Prayuth's safeguard against democracy. This so called committee must be abolished. Don't let Thailand become another Myanmar.
  3. It's so easy for the "Paediatrician" to say whatever from the expensive condo or township he's staying in with access to weekend hi-so dinners. Maybe driving a Benz or BMW to his workplace too. Egg is a good protein. Rice is good for energy. Just give the poor kids some vegetables and fruits to complete the meal, if not given.
  4. Whoa...slow down there, cowboy... You are not even divorced and you are already getting ready to jump into Thailand for your next wedding. At the speed you are going, are you sure you are really serious about settling in life? Are you really sure what you see in your future Thai wife is not the same with how it was before you got married to your current wife? If you just want to have some "fun" you don't need to get married. If you and your future Thai wife are serious in a true marital and familial relationship, your future Thai wife can help you ask the relevant authorities about what you both need to get married.
  5. Sorry, his family have to find the means to pay for whatever it takes to take him back. Not going to pay for someone caught in a drink-and-drive/ride incident. And that too without helmet. Same goes to whoever runs the red light. But condolences to the family, nonetheless. A father of 5... yet... shouldn't have been doing what he did, no?
  6. Let me repeat this: Khao Soi is NOT a soup. It's a CURRY noodle dish.
  7. Closing statement: This is not about an alcoholic discussing about the loss of alcohol. Chang has been my favourite Thai beer, since it's the first Thai beer (back when the bottle was amber with the green label) I had with a ผัดไทย (pad thai) that was excellent in a local restaurant in Rangnam Road. I am generally a constant person, who dislikes unnecessary changes. If it ain't broke, why fix it??? It's sad that some commentators here dismissed this as a simple percentage chaser. I still enjoy my Hoegaarden at 4.9%. Because it has been consistent with what they give us. Consistency is important. The reduction of percentage of ABV didn't reflect in the cost per bottle of Chang anyway. If ThaiBev wanted to reduce the cost they incurred from their ABV, I believe they should pass on their benefits to their loyal customers.
  8. I guess some men get turned on with anyone whoever have boobs. And ladyboys have fullsome boobs.
  9. But the supposed lower tax to the company is not passed on the the customers, I guess. If I'm not mistaken, the price per bottle is still the same, or higher, compared to when it was at 5%. Not sure why, but Leo gives me a headache after more than a bottle while having food. Singh(a) seems to be okay. I actually liked Chang before, but I feel it's watered down. Not because I saw the percentage first, but after a finishing a glass, only then I looked (surprised) at the percentage, as is a habit that I always read the labels while drinking anything.
  10. After almost 2 years, I returned, and found my favourite seafood-accompanying Thai beer - Chang is now lowered to 4.8% abv from 5%. I remember it was more than 6% long ago. It was already tasting watered down even at 5%, but now it's even lower. So having Sing Beer nowadays. Any thoughts on why it was lowered?
  11. I'm tired of hearing of new strains every 2 months or so. It's time we move on. Get vaccinated, observe self hygiene, don't expose yourself in overly-crowded places if you don't have to and wear masks until there is no more spread. This is an airborne virus for the most part, so the mask is essential. It's time we handle this like any other flu that we used to get every year before the covid outbreak. Get vaccinated, including a booster dose. Take precautions. There will be a time we will be able to socialize and carry on without wearing masks soon. This outbreak thought me one thing - to appreciate the freedom we had before and not take anything for granted.
  12. The government confirmed yesterday the requirement for PCR testing and Hotel Booking will be scrapped from 1st May, as I had anticipated. Unfortunately I already booked the Hotel + PCR due to time constraints and unpredictability of the rules. Hoping the hotel can provide the refund. Not holding my breath, though. (My wife already contacted the hotel, and they told her that refund request can be processed. I already sent the mail to them.)
  13. Malaysia is fully open for international tourists. Basically, it's quite simple actually : Download the MySejahtera app and create an account Fill-up the digital pre-departure form via the ‘Traveller’ icon on MySejahtera Verify your digital COVID-19 vaccine certificate here. Take a pre-departure COVID-19 test within 2 days of departure Purchase COVID-19 travel insurance (for short-term foreign visitors) Professional rapid antigen test (RTK-Ag) within 24 hours of arrival 5 days quarantine for partially vaccinated or unvaccinated travellers. Book your quarantine facilities here. There is no need to book hotel like in thailand for vaccinated tourists. A lot of helpful information on the MySejahtera app.
