Thanks for your prompt response. For reasons unknown to me, Chumphon immigration did not mention the 60 day extension option. I was informed that exiting Thailand and re entering on an eVisa was the only option available in my case. Just to clarify, if I take the Laos route, does that mean I cannot complete the entire process online and would still need to visit the embassy or consulate in person to pay the application fee? Also, hypothetically, if I list Singapore as my current location for the eVisa application using a friend’s address, once the eVisa is approved, would I be required to enter Thailand specifically from Singapore, or can I enter from any nearby international location? Appreciate your guidance.

Background: Indian national living in Thailand since 2021 on Non-O visa (Thai spouse) Married to Thai national (2019) Been extending annually without issues Current visa expires January 19, 2026 The Problem: My visa is usually due in February, so I deposited 400k THB in December like always. This time I just noticed it expires in January instead! Money deposited December 21, 2024 = only 29 days seasoned by expiry (need 60 days). Visa can't be extended for one year from Chumphon Immigration as 400K THB not seasoned for 2 months. Chumphon Immigration's Advice: They told me to: Apply for e-visa online Exit Thailand and re-enter on new e-visa My Confusion: E-visa application on e-visa website https://thaievisa.go.th requires "current location" but Thailand isn't listed Immigration helpline said select country where I'll collect visa They suggested Laos or Malaysia (said Myanmar has no embassy) BUT Myanmar IS listed in the e-visa country options My Questions: Has anyone at Chumphon (or other province) dealt with this situation before? Can I mention any country as my "current location" on e-visa website and then re-enter from Myanmar? Has anyone actually applied for e-visa while in Thailand and successfully done this exit/re-entry to/from Myanmar process in a similar situation? If e-visa is necessary, which country should I choose and how does "current location" work? From Chumphon, what's the most economical route to exit and re-enter?
