  1. Hi folks, BPH (Pattaya) is expensive when staying in ward room and extremely expensive when staying in ICU. And medicines seem to be almost double in price, compared to a pharmacy. Does anyone know pricing in Queen Sirikit hospital, Sattahip? It is for an old guy who regularly has severe health problems. He got insurance but I'm afraid that at some point the insurance won't pay the excessive bills in full. Thanks!
  2. 10 million baht --> transfer it to dollars: 4-5% interest
  3. Farang (US citizen) and Thai lady want to divorce. Simple divorce, no assets money to share. He recently got a new passport. Now, it seems that the District Office in Pattaya demands that this new passport needs to be certified by the US Embassy and the Thai consul. IMO, a passport is a certified document BY DEFINITION! Anyone heard about this? Is this certification really needed? (Immigration accepted this passport when he extended his stay for 1 year...)
  4. - Live in, 24/7, but 1 day off per week. Other holidays in consultation: then need someone to replace. - She will be working together with a Thai lady. - The two ladies need to take care his meals, medications (he has some dementia, can't remember when to take what). Shower him, clean after toilet (his hands are trembling, so he has problems doing this himself). Help him getting dressed. Guide him when he goes to the beach or a restaurant (the Thai lady got a car). Most of the time the ladies will only sit and keep an eye on him, spend time with him relaxing on the beach or other places. He can walk, but needs guidance when, eg, stepping on and off pavements (his sight is not good: glaucoma). - 25,000 baht a month.
  5. Hi all, Old man needs a care taker. She must speak some basic English. He is annoyed when a Thai lady doesn't. That is why he prefers having a Philippine care taker. Can live in, good salary. Only care taking, no relation. Thanks!
  6. Old man in Jomtien needs someone to check his health, change catheter. He got caretaker but she is not a nurse. Anny suggestions?
  7. You said "– Wear a condom when having sexual intercourse; always. " Without increases the risk of prostate problems?????
  8. Will probably choose for removing prostate. Which doctor in Pattaya (or BKK) has a lot of experience/is the best?
  9. I think I forgot to mention he also has prostate cancer. Rezum is not an option, I was told 3 days ago. Maybe removing the prostate could be the best. Anyone with experience? Dr in PIH suggests injections to lower testosterone. That won't help him much regarding normal peeing.... So, he also suggests a tap in his belly for peeing.
  10. You keep on whining that I am complaining. I solved this problem already 1 month ago, no pigeons anymore abut you - 1 month later - start whining again! Get a life!
  11. Some medication... I don't know exactly what. Have to check. Rezum sounds like a good solution, will discuss it with his urologist.
  12. Thanks all. Already enjoyed the Sunday brunch at Casa Pascal (which was around 350 last year, now 499). Will try LK Metro next time!
  13. Hi all, Old man (suffering dementia) of 80 can't pee by himself anymore, due to enlarged prostate. Got a catheter at the moment. Hospital suggests suprapubic cystostomy (suprapubic catheter) = tube through opening in the belly into the bladder. Anyone here with experience, or anyone who suggests other solutions? Removing prostate has risks of incontinence, I was told. Thanks!
