  1. I am looking for a new Vivo mobile phone for my daughter and came across this brand new Vivo V15 Pro phone on Lazada . The sales photographs show the Vivo V15 Pro as having a rear finger print sensor , but on doing more research on the Vivo V15 Pro it seems that version has an on screen finger print sensor , and it was the Vivo V15 ( non Pro ) version that had a rear finger print sensor. May be I've got it all wrong - Any thoughts please. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/vivo-v15-pro-8-256-gb-1-i3769534375-s14421029411.html? -----
  2. I have to replace my old ink printer and thought about getting a new Laser printer / scanner , I have never owned a Laser printer . So I was wondering what I need to know about using and maintaining one . I don’t do much colour printing , mainly black ink document printing and scanning. Can any one please advise me on the following ….................... Are there any different types of Home Laser printer / scanner machines . Are there any sort of cartridges or other items that I would need to regularly purchase to use a Laser printer. What sort of maintenance is necessary to keep the machine in good working order. Can a Laser printer be used on computers using Mac / Linux operating systems. Is a home WiFi connection necessary to use a Laser printer. Would I need to buy special printing paper for a Laser printer . Any recommendations for a reasonably priced home Laser printer / scanner ( printing only black would be ok ) . Any experiences , tips or other advice on the purchase / use of a Home Laser printer , most welcome. .
  3. Two weeks ago I purchased a new car and its metallic pearl white paint work looks wonderful . So I’m wondering whats the best way to keep the paint work looking at its best , I have a lot of free time so I would like to do the necessary work my self. At home I have an electric plug in high pressure power washer , but nothing more to use on my new car . Can some one please suggest the best way to achieve protecting and caring for the metallic pearl white paint work and keeping it looking good , along with any product recommendations. Many Thanks.
  4. Thanks for comment ???? In the conversations Ive had with my wife it seems that there are two destinations that she seems to be interested about . I think the reason she is interested in these two destinations is because she has read some where on Thai social media glowing reports from other Thai’s that have visited the two destinations shown below. 1. Japan 2. Turkey Ive had a quick look on google about those two holiday destinations and as some one who is not well travelled like my self, sorting out independent travel plans seems a bit intimidating and daunting especially for Japan where it seems like you have to pre book many things months ahead and have a fully planned travel itinerary for when you land in Japan. You mention an organised tour , I like the word ‘’ organised ‘’ but I have a funny feeling that taking an organised tour would work out more expensive in the end.
  5. After talking to my wife she said that several of her Thai friends had taken a holiday In Turkey and they really enjoyed the experience . So has any one here been to Turkey or have any thoughts about taking a holiday there.
  6. No way , really ......................... the Chinese Government pay the shipping charges from China to Bangkok Airport????
  7. A big thanks to every one for your comments and advice. I will certainly be looking into every possibility . I’m a 70+ year old age pensioner who’s sole income is derived from my British ( frozen ) government old age pension . It’s plainly obvious to those of us that are permanently residing here in Thailand that generally speaking the cost of living has risen and things have / are shooting up in price. So trying to save a few Baht where ever I can including on our monthly electricity cost is some thing that I wanted to look at . I fondly recall my dear old departed dad often saying a penny saved is a penny gained. I burnt all my bridges when I permanently moved here to Thailand , so returning back to the UK is sadly never going to happen. ???? .
  8. Thanks - This is a new fridge / freezer , so I was wondering what the correct temperatures should be ???? .
  9. Sorry I know its off topic.???? This is very interesting for me. So have I got this correct , prior to you returning to the UK to reside there you telephoned the DWP and informed them that you would soon be permanently residing back in the UK . On hearing your telephone confirmation that you would soon be permanently residing back on UK soil , The DWP un froze your pension payment and the next scheduled pension payment would be at the current normal unfrozen rate.. I had it in my mind that if I returned to the UK with the intention of un freezing my British government pension, I would have to provide the DWP with an actual British postal address where I was residing and the DWP would then over time send forms / paper work for me to sign and return relating to my request to un freeze my current pension that I had been receiving in Thailand. This could possibly take months to finally sort out . It had also crossed my mind that once the British government pension had been reinstated to the normal un frozen amount, then it would just be a matter of quietly returning back to Thailand and then receive an un frozen pension amount . .
  10. Thanks .???? Sadly as a 70+ year old age pensioner returning to the UK is going to be difficult task as all my family relatives have now passed away along with my close personal friends, so finding some sort of affordable accommodation that would allow me to stay long enough to process my application to have my British government pension reinstated to the current amount could be a problem. Oh , if only I could turn the clock back. ???? .
  11. Thanks The one air conditioning unit is only used for a short time before going to sleep and does not ever run all night or during the day time. I currently have the A/C set on Eco mode which according to the instructions is the most economical setting . .
  12. Yes how did you guess , I have to sadly admit that as a British old age pensioner and as my British government monthly pension amount was permanently frozen from the day years ago when I foolishly informed the British Government pension office that I was now residing in Thailand , My British old age monthly frozen pension payment amount is now understandably not worth very much . So any monetary savings I can now find are for me a real bonus .????. .
  13. First I’m not a business man , so this may be a stupid question . I was looking at the Lazada Thailand web site and they had one of their sales going on . I came across a Digital Clamp Meter which was on sale for a total price of ฿127.46 ( including postage and packing from China ). So I ordered one and it arrived today . I have tested it out and its working fine. My question is this , at that total price of ฿127.46 including post and delivery from China , how do both the Lazada company and the Lazada seller make any worthwhile end profit . What am I missing ? .
