  1. If you look at a slomo of the shooting vid and I've studied it carefully with 5x magnification you see a small object, quite like a miniature gun, slip off his right hand. He shot himself. The motive is not clear. Maybe he had a martyr complex, mental issues.
  2. Conclusions: 1. Kash Patel is an idiot. 2. The woman in the middle is a babe.
  3. Hookers are getting more expensive in dollar terms.
  4. True, the man was a gutter gaspole.
  5. If you want sensible gun control you'll be shot in the head before your campaign gets off the ground. If you support the Second you get your carotid artery blown open. US politics drives me to distraction.
  6. 2014: If Ukrainian ultranationalists hadn't signed on to the CIA-instigated coup Ukraine would have lost not an inch of territory. At that time all Russia wanted was continued lease on their Sevastopol naval base. Once they saw who was running the country post-coup, Russia took Crimea. They didn't want to lose their base. 2022: If Zelensky had put Ukraine first, not Nato promises, and signed off on the Istanbul accords, only Crimea would have had returned to Russia, nothing more. After the war started 4 oblasts were taken by Russia. 2024: June 14 Putin laid out conditions for peace, rejected by Nato-US. If there had been negotiations then Ukraine could have limited its territorial losses to the 4 oblasts plus Crimea. Now: Ukraine will lose everything east of the Dniepr, which will be a border of the new Little Ukraine, and it will lose Odesa and a land corridor to Transnistria. Moral of the story: When a superpower says get your dirty nose out of my backyard and take Nato with you, listen.
  7. There's a blurry line here. Well-off/hi-so/well-educated Thai women are not on dating apps, they operate in their own Thai social circles and are 99% not interested in farangs. Middle/lower income Thai women with a job might be open to a long-term relationship with a farang - "the legit woman looking for love" deal. But at the same time many will be amenable to a "date" with a guy which has no long-term prospects but ends with her receiving a "token of appreciation". She will not consider this prostitution but that she is being rewarded for her desirability. Think of it what you will but we are, thank the Lord, not in a puritanical (hypocritical) culture. Personally, I find this refreshing and liberating. A guy doesn't have to lie through his teeth and a gal doesn't have to pretend she's what she's not when they both want the same physical intimacy without commitment. Bottom line if I may answer your question: Are dating apps full of prostitutes or legit woman looking for love? Both and the same gals/lbs both categories.
  8. See below. Trump knows winners and losers when he sees them. Can you believe how pathetic Europeans and their little Ukrainian puppet are? Jeez.
  9. Hey, don't go. We're having fun. But it is kind of silly to ask "which Russian bot?" when I gave links. In any case, apologies.
  10. They are links, birdbrain. Go check them yourself.
  11. I'll get you started: Ukraine REFUSES To Accept Fallen Ukrainian Troops At Exchange Site https://www.statista.com/statistics/896181/putin-approval-rating-russia/ "In June 2025, 86 percent of Russians approved of the activities of the Russian President Vladimir Putin. ..."
  12. Fugazi pushed by the West to justify "one more weapons system", "one more sanction". The numbers are the other way around. 2.5 million Ukrainian KIA, about 110k Russians. Heck, so many Ukrainian deaths they don't want to take back their corpses from the Russians because they don't have money to pay the families. Putin's popularity in Russia, according to Western sources, is 80+%. He'll do fine. The Kiev conman is another matter. He forked his country by refusing the Istanbul peace deal in 2022. Millions dead, third of the population fled as refugees, quarter of territory lost (more to go), infrastructure devastated and the population living on Western dole. Zelensky is not going to die peacefully in his sleep surrounded by children and grandchildren.
  13. I'll make a note of this as an alternate possibility. Still a PO is down the street from me so a short walk and done and dusted in 10 mins.
  14. I wouldn't say this is stupid but it makes little sense. Obviously the PO offers enhancement to EMS service vs. ordinary, which would certainly not make it "high risk", in fact the opposite. I do appreciate you have sent hundreds of stuff to the US. But still you would agree that the number is not statistically significant. If there were systemic problems with EMS/tracking that would come out at a higher level. I have not heard of any.
  15. Anecdotal. As is mine. Still on general principles I would say a $50 package receives better care from the POs than a $5 one. Not that the latter won't get through. And $50 is such a tiny fraction of the SS amounts we get I see no reason not to use the best service the PO has to offer.
  16. Bt. 1550 yesterday evening. Tracking showed it on a flight out of Bkk last night. I've always used EMS/tracking and it's always shown Final Delivery, usually within a week.
  17. One hopes the Russians have a sense of humor. Or that Witkoff does when he gets the Russian response.
  18. Just curious did you send it ordinary or EMS/tracking?
  19. The first evidence one is alive today is that one mailed in the current form. Of course, there's still possibility of fraud but still the easiest machine-checkable bit of evidence is that the submitted form scans to be current. My point is to wait for the newest form. There's thousands of us and we'll know when the mailings start.
  20. I've always sent the 7162 EMS/tracking and it hasn't failed. I think we can safely assume that SS, despite DOGE, understands that retirees are going to try and send something that secures their lifeline in the safest manner they think possible. So I don't buy the notion that, oh, there might be no one to sign for the mail so it will go missing, just send ordinary.
  21. 7161 or 7162? There's a long-running topic on the latter. The form mailing is apparently delayed.
  22. It's behind a paywall. It would be nice if a copy is posted here.
  23. Thanks. That's what I figured.
  24. Which should be the case. But I remember some years back when I was working on an F visa plus work permit I did get a VAT refund on a laptop.
