If one wouldn't have any reason to complain about "the corruption, the traffic, the bureaucracy, the air pollution, the heat, the visa system, the customer service, even about the [some] locals]" one would have some brain damage, no? And yet this doesn't mean that one can't have some good reason to stay. And most of us have found reasons to complain about the countries we have live in, so why should we shut up about Thailand?

Software... The 737 Max was a software issue. Even though the root cause lied in fitting modern engines on an obsolete airframe. Anyhow the pilots were clueless when the aircraft showed a ming of its own. This 787 throttled its engines for some obscure reason. Boeing must revisit its software development/release processes, or sell out to the Airbus/Comac alliance (to be, thanks to TACO).

Actually it was. Funds remitted during the year of earning have always been assessable. The weren't if remitted years posterior to the year of earning. Therefore it was wise to keep a buffer of one year earnings in your overseas bank account. All the pensions paid into Thai bank account have been assessable. There might be some tax to collect there.
