  1. I wonder what he really did with all those women. It's too many for just sex. I think I read 40 a night or something. Anyone know what was actually going on?
  2. Philippines sucks in many ways. It's a big step down. I know you can find paradise anywhere though, even in a trash can and nobody takes it like you can.
  3. The requirements tend to be strict. The reason why they want 3 months worth is because they don't want people just borrowing money, dumping it in, then withdrawing it. They want it to really be your money.
  4. The big new indian club on walking street. Kuta something...
  5. You are basically asking for a payment plan without being on the hook for a loan, just a contract to buy sometime in the future. Nobody cares if you rent it or not or how the installment payment is made. I can't envision a seller wanting to do that. Either of you could go bankrupt or need to change the terms. That's why banks use credit and collateral when issuing loans.
  6. I think some of them are able to default on loans somehow and rebuild (and don't mind as they prefer a newer building anyway). Maybe it's like a bar where the books are cooked and a new buyer is found. I'm not sure of the specifics.
  7. The Chinese are herd animals. If you scare a couple, the entire herd follows. They also like seafood buffets, as long as it's crowded.
  8. I'm interested in your rebuttal if you have one.
  9. https://m.economictimes.com/magazines/panache/man-at-60-year-old-turns-to-chatgpt-for-diet-tips-for-salt-substitute-ends-up-with-a-rare-19th-century-illness/articleshow/123257533.cms
  10. It's probable social media and cell phones will play a big role. AI links every post, comment or like you make to you and the data is used to build a profile on you. Even on comments where you appear to be anonymous, AI figures it out that it's you somehow. Then a weird analysis is done based on the data which is more then the some of it's parts. Perhaps assigning you a social status score that is used to determine your access to certain places or benefits. Or, stuff like ChatGPT gives advice, but it uses all your data to influence you by responding in a way you agree with or are vulnerable to even if you don't realize it at the time. The dark side of facebook and google.
  11. One thing it will do is eliminate privacy. It's going to be able to figure out how to track you and mine every bit of data. That info IS control. The reason being, that your patterns dictate what you will do in the future. People move in predictable ways. When AI analyzes all that data it can control your behavior in many ways.
  12. That's nice, but it would not be Thailand without those things. Your probably better off just going to Greece if you have the money. I guess anywhere is worth seeing once though.
  13. It's not about a resolution. Attention is money. Focus on something else. That's why the lower income bracket constantly makes noise and drama. It captures attention.
  14. The defamation thing is really about hiding wrongdoing and personal weaknesses, not saving face.
  15. Tourism is pretty much dead. The world economy is getting worse. Talking about tourist numbers won't fix anything.
  16. I have not even started yet. Stay tuned for more schooling on how to be the best man you can be.
  17. That's very different then having to pay for it. The guy would be thinking he never measured up enough to just get laid for who he was and not his wallet. He would also be admitting he kind of gave up and just took the easy way out (paying) rather then improving who he was as a man.
  18. I got mine after researching it online. It's a pretty nasty condition. Not something I would want to take a chance with.
  19. Do you really want to spend your final days in a brothel?
  20. The romantic aspect of love seems to be deficient here. Sex is viewed more like a biological function, from what I can see. I don't think many Thai's really view it as cheating. The romantic connection seems to be a lot less as well. It could just be under the surface, but I don't think so in many cases. I do still see it in some young couples. That may contribute to the cheating because that strong connection is not there that views the partner as the one and only with everything directed to them to the exclusion of other partners. Thai's can't exclude other people well, they need other people around constantly. If there is nobody around they make a lot of noise, play music all day, things like that. Even the monks kind of need a group and find solitary practice difficult.
  21. I bag my own tea. I don't need expat shops or big c.
  22. I never shop at expat shops. They are overpriced.
