Since you don't know, and because the Thai authorities may not have accurate figures, it might be a good idea to toss out all those Americans in Thailand on retirement or marriage visas. Just to be safe, until things can be reassessed and more clear. Better safe than sorry. Sure they're not immigrants per se, but they are long term/permanent residents, so they represent the same threat to the public coffers. The measly 400K-800K in bank deposits is hardly enough to handle a major medical emergency, so the cost would fall on the Thai people. Thailand should also up the financial and insurance requirements to, say, 5 million baht in the bank and at least that much in medical insurance for retirement or marriage visas. And I don't mean proof of funds, but actual i'n a Thai bank' funds, in country and accessible if needed. Business owners, on the other hand, have significant capital in country, and should the need arise, that capital and/or assets could be seized by the Thai authorities if required to cover the foreigner's unpaid costs. Your deep and heartfelt concern for the law is soooo inspiring. No doubt it's bringing tears to the eyes of everyone from Hammurabi to Justice Brandeis. That being said, can you explain why ICE and Trump haven't gone after the EMPLOYERS of all the undocumented workers, as those people, too, are breaking the law. As a matter of practicality, they are also a lot easier to find, as they own registered companies and entities. In fact, there's a members-only club in south Florida where the owner willfully employed undocumented workers in violation of the law up until at least 2017. The club is called "Mar-a-Lago". Maybe you’ve heard of it? I just cannot think of why ICE would not go after employers---from farmers to major hotel chains to restaurants to abattoirs to even private members-only clubs---as all are knowingly breaking the law. Put some serious heat on those lawbreakers, and that would crush the incentive for folks to try to enter the US without documentation. Have ICE bag and tag’em with the aggressiveness such lawbreakers deserve. Problem solved, no? Maybe you can help. I'd hate to think there is some sort of racism involved, or that there might be special rules for people who might be members of the Donor Class.

When one takes a look at the disaster that is Trump and his Carnival People Administration, it is unavoidable to see how campaign slogans truly work. Trump saw a need and a weakness (to his credit or dumb luck?) and came up with MAGA. It is patently obvious what that slogan is meant to invoke. It is an appeal to society's losers, in particular white males. It harkens back to a time when white males were entitled by birth, before they had to compete with females and minorities. "Great" in Trump-speak, is when white males had real and undue privilege merely because they were white males. That resonated with losers, as is readily apparent whenever anyone meets a MAGA. Poorly educated, willfully ignorant, generally starved for any sort of genuine success in life, and frankly lacking the skills and talents necessary to compete in a more equal world. Trump gave them a slogan, drew their attention, and then tried to address the inherent inferiority they all know deep down they have, by giving them people to blame, such as immigrants, women, minorities, and the very same people with whom MAGAs always felt inferior beginning in their grammar school days. This inferiority complex screams out in any conversation or comment MAGAs make. Trump is giving MAGAs a way to "get back" at all those who shoved MAGA inferiority into their faces since birth, simply by being superior to the MAGA types. The slogan worked. "Again" was the key word. Democrats are often too cerebral. They mistakenly assume others share their intellect and decency. They forget there is an entire left of the mean on the IQ Bell Curve. Trump has reminded liberals that there is, in fact, a dumb demographic, and it is called MAGA. So the trick for Dems is to find a slogan that appeals to those with a strong emotional reaction to something occurring in society. Trump went after losers with MAGA. Dems need to go after moral outrage, such as the outrage over Trump's fascist and thuggish stormtroopers and brown shirts. Maybe something like "Bring the Heat; Melt the ICE" would galvanize the opposition decent people have to the fascism and thuggery brought by Trump and his goons. The murder in cold blood of Renee Good can be the focal point for actually making America great again.

Trump also was part of the scheme to appoint fake electors. All of this was detailed in Jack Smith's indictment, which is why Republicans did not allow Smith to testify in a public Hearing, and why they "obeyed" the required release of the private Hearing transcript on New Year's Eve. Trump is a traitor. Nothing less.
