Trump wants 250-ft triumphal arch
You are possibly someone pretending to be American (maybe a Russian). America already has a number of arches, but non-Americans maybe unaware of them, Gateway Arch, St Louis. Modernist stainless steel arch built as a memorial, opened in 1967 to commemorate men and women of the Westward expansion, but also intended to rejuvenate the riverfront. Washington Square Arch; Lower Manhatten. In the classic Greek-Roman triumphal arch style, to commemorate the centennial of George Washington's inaugaration National Memorial Arch, Valley Forge National Memorial Park. Built to commemorate the arrival of the Continental Army at Valley Forge. Grand Army of the Republic Memorial Arch, Kansas City. Memorial Arch, Huntingdon, West Virginia. WW1 memorial Memorial Arch, Northfield, New Hampshire. Built privately as a folly in the 1880s on private land Millenium Gate Museum, Atlanta. Millenium memorial Victory Arch, Newport News, Virginia. WW1 memorial Perry Memorial Arch, Bridgeport, Connecticut Rosedale Arch, Kansas City. WW1 memorial Smith Memorial Arch, Philadelphia. Civil War memorial Soldier and Sailors Memorial, Hartford, Connecticut. Civil War memorial Solder and Sailor's Arch, Brooklyn. Civil War memorial Naturally a list largely unknown to Russians on a tight timetable.

Trump Advisor Says ICE Agents Will Be at Super Bowl forBad Bunny
The President won't be attending as it apparently is too far. Or maybe not. https://zeteo.com/p/trump-super-bowl-concern-boos Green Day are playing. A solid American band. Could have been Rage Against the Machine. The President's Supporters love than band, just don't understand the lyrics. Bloke didn't get the memo about the nanobot laced facemasks.

ICE traffic stop. If it wasn't fof the (ill fitting) uniforms, it looks like a carjacking They have "Police" on their stab vests, but they don't appear like police officers. One is constantly tugging on a ill fitting balaclava. The dude on the far right looks like he doesn't know how to hold a gun, and forgets at first. Apparently in America its illegal to film officers, a crime that can invite a bullet.

US Considering Asylum for British Jews
Depends on the period. For English speaking peoples, there was no standardisation of the language until the early 19th Century. Anyone who does geneology has to contend with changes in names. One of my family names is Marriott, but in the 16th Century, this was Maret. Later on, in the 19th Century, there was probably a lot of illiteracy or misunderstanding. McWhirter often ended up getting spelt with a Q, whether that was the settlers using that spelling, or a bureaucrat filling in a ledger. And the change stuck. American Nativists forced people to Anglicise their names (so Trump became Trumpf). Later again, WW1 saw more peope ditching in particular German names. Probably not as many as you think changed name; because 250 years on, many many people have recognisably English, Welsh, Scottish, Irish, German, Nordi, Dutch, French, Italian, Greek and Russian surnames. Societal pressure of course leads to rationalisation of first names. Probably descendants of immigrants from non-European cultures have had to change their names the most. The obvious example will be slave descendants among African Americans who lost their family names when their ancestors were treated as chattle.

US Considering Asylum for British Jews
Not true. Not all Jewish people can trace their lineage to Israel, due to conversions that happened in the past. By dint, are most Americans indigenous to countries in Europe? I suspect they would be given short shrift by immigration if they rocked up expecting to settle, without a visa. And given the historic shifting borders of the South Western United States, does than mean most Mexicans are indigenous American citizens? Modern examples of people who are Jewish but not indigenous to Israel are Ivanka Trump, Liz Taylor, Marilyn Monroe, Sammy Davis Jr. Genetically I might be 30% Irish, but I have no entitlement to an Irish passport. Also, I can't become Danish, Icelandic or Norwegian. Modern Judaism is considered not a missionary religion; unlike Islam and Christianity, there is no active effort to convert people. During the period of the Roman Empire, thousands oof conversions were performed in Asia-Minor (Turkey-Georgia-Armenia-Northern Iraq), which ended when the Roman Empire collapsed. Notoriously, the Idumea people (Edomites) were conquered and forced to convert to Judaism. Idumea lies within the present boundaries on Israel, on the West Bank. These enslaved peoples might have converted later to Christianity or Islam. The truth is, many of the conflicts are almost internicine in character, and the idea that being Jewish is no more of an ethnicity than being a Muslim, as we are repeatedly reminded. Around about 300Ad, the Romans started to crack down on enforced conversions. Jewish people often kept Christian slaves, and tried to convert them. Rome introduced the death penalty for anyone converting to the Jewish faith. On the other hand, they issued edicts protecting those who converted to Christianity. Rome Law started to use extremely negative language in relation to Judaism, such as secta nefaria and feralis. https://jewishencyclopedia.com/articles/4620-constantine-i-flavius-valerius-aurelius-constantinus It seems conversions to Judaism in Europe persisted into the Middle Ages; Rabbis were burnt for the act of allegedly converting Christians. The Deacon of Oxford converted to Judaism and was burnt at the stake for his pains around about 1200. Even in the 17th Century, 20,000 Transylanian Szeklers converted to Judaism. These people did practice a form of Protestantism, that include Jewish practice. The Hungarian community that was decimated in WW2 was largely a descendant of these people, or more particularly, so-called crypto Jews, who had converted in private, but changes in Hungarian law allowed them to enjoy protection by the state, and they were able to "come out", so to speak.

Yes I did. Get back to moaning about what you missed out on life, when working on the tarmac/refuse collection "crews"/riding the railcars. I guess Parkhead is some exotic place for you, in your dreams. If those dreams were infused by Thunderbird.

Instead, where you have gaps in your knowledge, you head to the library, and exercise your expert understanding the Dewey Decimal system, and conduct primary research calling KOLs to confirm statements in print. Oh, wait, you Google and post links to blogs.

Here we have it. A MAGA Commie with an enormous chip on his shoulder about Class Warfare. Much like the British MP Lee Anderson, who started off as a Trotskyist, became a Red Tory, and now is Reform Loon. You live by the politics of envy (disparaging those with an education), like the "Left" you frenetically disparage (calling members of the Conservative Party "Leftists"). You're a Communist and don't even realise it. So far Right, you are now Left in the circle of politics. Limited exposure, right. Also worked in Tennessee, West Missouri. Lived around the world, in Hong Kong, Germany, Bahrain, Canada, as well as a multude of settings within the UK, from East and West Belfast, the East Eng of Glasgow, Irvine, Essex, London, etc

Crew? I ain't a pirate, me hearty. Answer, none. Which was the point. I was shocked. What were you, a road navvie, spreading tarmac, or a bin man, picking up trash along the Interstate, as some bloke in the background hums along to "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot". You have a wierd way to describe work colleagues, as if you were working in the 1920s or summit.

Ukraine is winning the war
He was cut off, and arrested. So I don't think its grounds for hope that the Russians have come to their senses. Russia has become a servant economy to China. China buys raw materials from Russia, at a discount, because Russia doesn't have any other customers of significance now. China then makes raw materials into goods, adds value, and profits.

I dunno. I worked for 2 years in Southern Alabama. Alabama is very different to California. I heard a lot of surprising language being used in polite company. It didn't look very integrated. But America is very diverse, but society seems to be very different in the former slave states.

Andrew's 'Sweet Pea' Nickname Revealed in Epstein Docs
He managed the accounts of the wealthy, and took a cut. One of his clients was Robert Maxwell, who looted the Mirror Pension Fund, about $900m. Robert Maxwell is generally considered to be a triple agent, working for MI6, Mossad and the KGB. Some theories are that his demands for more money from Mossad lead to his death. Maxwell initially worked for Mossad/Israel for the same reasons as Epstein; support for Israel as Jews. In the 1950/60s, Israel was embargoed, and Maxwell is considered critical in the efforts Israel made in securing armaments. Later on, he seems to have been more driven by money. Ghislaine Maxwell was his daughter. Epstein knew Robert Maxwell before meeting his daughter, so one could speculate that Robert introduced Epstein to Ghislaine. Robert Maxwell fist met Donald Trump in the late 80s, when trying to securing a book publishing deal. Maxwell first worked with Epstein in the mid-80s, when the pair worked an arms deal. This was about the time Epstein befriended Donald Trump. Robert Maxwell had friends across the political divide, at high level. Maxwell was a blackmailer, and had developed a honey trap scheme for Mossad. It looks like Epstein copied this/took it over.

China Eases Travel: British Tourists Set for Visa-Free Visits!
I follow the channel ItchyBoots; a Dutch lady biking through Centra Asia. Its very interesting, and allows one to travel vicariously in places one would never visit (the people of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan seem incredible, and these are very beautiful countries). She has just crossed into Western China, and particularly, Xinjiang. This is the area the Uyghurs live. The series is painting a very different picture about China than I thought. But a major challenge China will have is about foreigners who wish to travel independantly in China, particularly on motorbike, or by car. There is significant state control of the sale of petro, illustrated in this video,

Man shot dead by federal agents in Minneapolis
I ain't apologizing for anything. I will not be bullied into apologising for something I have not done. You're getting your knickers in a twist, and lack comprehension. You stated: ""Ford puts the price of the taillight assembly at $748.87, and the vehicle has to be taken out of service for at least a few days" Local dealership has cluster in stock (I checked). The vehicle is not out of service for a few days. The cluster is delivered to the cop garage same day. They undo 2 10mm nuts and pop it in. Job done. I wouldn't be surprised that the cop garage might even maintain their own inventory of parts. These service vehicles lead hard lives, and are basically wrecks when they are disposed of. Moreover, they're not even waiting for a vehicle. The Feds don't drop it off at a dealership, and hang around drinking coffee while a courtesy car is fetched. For a start, note the vehicle has special cop clusters on the front. Likely inside it has fittings for carbines etc. That means they need a vehicle supplied that meets ICE specifications. What will happen is the car is taken to the motor pool, and an identical one pulled out. The officers will not be hanging around doing nothing. There is a cost to the department (its ICE that bears the cost) for the replacement part, as the government self-insures. I doubt they worry about a few scratches. I don't see in the video any damage to the bodywork that would render the car unsafe to drive. There is no labour charge as such, as its cop mechanics, who are on the clock anyhow, doing the 30 minutes repair. What do you mean by a "few days". Did you actually mean 30 minutes? Are you an Indian immigrant or something, to strangle the language like that. Hinglish is a thing. You continue to use 2024 model prices, when clearly the vehicle in question is a completely different 2022 model, for which I have supplied the price, that you now claim I am making up. No need to say sorry.

Man shot dead by federal agents in Minneapolis
You wrote (not said, I'm not on the telephone with you, unless you are a quadraplegic doing speech to text) "a few days" for the repair, which is more than 1 day. Maybe you meant it would take a week to fit a new one. Normal working day is 8 hours, assume 2 days, so 16 hours labour. But it seems you meant more than 2 days to refit a light cluster. Doesn't get any better for a junk Ford. I bet the high cost of the part is because Ford has coded the light into the car. It's common practice now on new cars for all electricals to be tied into the VIN, which is destroying the recycled parts business (ie. if the light cluster goes out, not only won't a used part work, the <deleted> car won't even start). Looking at the refit process for a $62k Expedition, as I thought, its no more than 30 minutes to replace. Whoever told you it will take a few days to replace was yanking your willy. Interestingly, Federal vehicles are not insured; repairs are managed from a vast budget. And the Ford rip off price for NL1Z-13405-F is listed at $2,316.22. https://ford.oempartsonline.com/oem-parts/ford-tail-lamp-assembly-nl1z13405f Uploading Attachment... You quoted for a newer model than the vehicle in the video. Get your eyesight checked. Holy crap. Its a Ford, not a Rolls Royce. They make millions of these things. Didn't they think about repair costs when they procured this type of vehicle. I'm sure there are alternatives. A 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe rear light lists at $575, so way better than Ford. There isn't going to be any wiring repairs as such. If a section of loom was damaged (which I doubt), there will be an umbilical connection just inside the trunk, plug and play. With the type of lighting in these new types of units, it would be unsafe to use crimped connectors, soldered connectors (which are a bad idea in cars anyhow) or even bodge it and scarper Scotchlocks.

Man shot dead by federal agents in Minneapolis
I ain't buying a Ford now. That's an outrageous price, if correct. And 2 days/ 16 hours to install @ $100/h. I assume you have access to the FoMoCo jobsheets to come up with these estimates. That'll write a car off. A tail light unit shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to install. I saw the video, and it seems the Ford unit is just held in with clips, not the usual screws or captive studs and bolts. A little tap and it just fell out. People complain about Chinese cars. The latest Fords seem rubbish.

Nobody Asked For The “Melania” Movie,
On the topic of the movie. With spectacular timing, the latest tranche of Epstein files includes images of the director, with Epstein, canoodling to two young ladies. https://www.justice.gov/epstein/files/DataSet%209/EFTA00245476.pdf https://www.justice.gov/epstein/files/DataSet%209/EFTA00245478.pdf The Reddit contains interesting speculation of the identity of the woman on the right. I think its a bit weak. This director already had some dodgy allegations against him. But this is a spectacular coincidence. Or maybe not, and it reflects the social circle of the President, which includes loads of visitors to Epstein Sex Island.
