If you had even bothered to read my OP you would know that this happened in a restaurant where the family of 10 ADULTS were refused a glass of wine with their meals. They up and left, leaving the locals out of pocket. What should they have done? Gone to a mom and pop shop 2 miles away and brought 4 bottles in with them to the restaurant?? Next time think before you type!

Theoretically, the table that upped and left could have spent well in excess of 20,000 baht for their lunch considering they were a group of around 10 people. The locals lose out again. When will they learn??

The french family (around 10 people) certainly seemed to think so! Another local business bites the dust..

or on any other Buddhist holiday?? I was just down at the beach and witnessed a well to do french family completely exasperated that they were not allowed to have a glass of wine with their meal. The gentleman, quite rightly in my opinion, said to the waitress 'we are not children! no wonder nobody is coming to Thailand anymore!' They immediately got up and left. I don't blame them.
