The anecdotal claims are that California would lose 3-5 Seats if non-Citizens were no longer counted - plus other Dems States would lose seats too. Trump is tearing down the system that allows the Dems to have more votes than they should have. Lets not even talk about the State run welfare fraud that is being used by the Dem States to attract illegals to go there - and that they issue them Driving Licences and Car Registrations and allows them to register to vote.

Now you are agreeing with me. What exactly are you trying to say?? My points - The current welfare is greatly restricted and very low levels of payments. The PP plan to greatly expand it and increase payments will be a disaster (and require heaps of additional taxes). Thais are poor and always will be poor - they will jump at taking welfare rather than working. Unlike in the west where we all start on low salaries and the vast majority work our way up in salary (we dont work at McDonalds etc. forever). Most Thais do not have that opportunity to increase their salary a lot over a 'career' and thus the PP welfare is very appealing . A big family on PP welfare living cheaply all in one house here would be extremely viable. It is bad enough in the West - but here it would be catastrophic - most Thais would take the welfare.

Exactly - the PP would change Thailand from what they are today - they cannot introduce all their welfare state BS without a massive increase in taxation. I like Singapore - but the people there are not the same as Thai People - because they changed when they 'developed'. IMO Thailand needs to have a balance to keep their society the way it is now. I did not like Prayut that much - but he said it clearly several times - Thailand is for Thais - and he did not want them to change their personal behaviours and beliefs. (unable to post FB link) The PP have announced CRADLE to the GRAVE as their mantra for their ADDITIONAL Social Welfare support that they are promising to deliver - both in typoes of payments and the amounts being paid. That Facebook article only covers one of them - single motherhood payments (and their increases to those payments) - there are a lot more that PP plan to introduce. IMO if BJT and PT create a coalition and form Government, that will be the best possible outcome given the current circumstances in Thailand. They will be a 'conservative' alliance, but not as conservative as the military elite who have put Thailand into the economic situation they currently are. A woke liberal socialist Government (PP) is not what is needed at this time - hopefully they will not win and destroy the country far worse than the military has been doing.

Exactly - it has become generational in many western countries. There is also the cost in the time and money to travel to and from work, and the costs of food, clothes, etc. Plus they all do a little 'on the side' to make a bit extra - everything from selling vegetables they grow to drugs. You thought wrong - ICE Offiucers are Officers of the Law and can stop, detain and arrest anyone they believe is an illegal. Probably their database checks revealed a car in the name of an illegal - so the car was stopped. It is registered in a Dems State and he votes Dem - that is what it is all about - millions of additional Dem voters.

They have all been offered a $3K payment (exit bonus) and free transport back to their country - most have decided to stay and hide - mistake. There will be 3 more years of ICE under Trump and then 8 more years of ICE under JD. Under Obama 5.3 million illegals were deported - but the woke liberals did nothing because they were not fired up by the Dems to do so at the time. Better offer - $5K reward to any US Citizen who detains (Under Citizen Arrest) any suspected Illegal alien and takes them to the nearest ICE Station for processing. Payment made when the person arrested is confirmed as illegal and ordered to be deported. Problem solved 😁

The People's Party in power by itself would be not good for Expats. One of their clear election promises is to introduce a Social Welfare system for all people. Whilst that sounds great to woke liberals, the actual effect will be 10s of millions of Thais receiving welfare payments - the numbers of dole bludgers and other parasites will be far worse than in Western countries. Not only will that destroy the current Thai nature of independent living and self reliance, that will require a massive increase in taxation revenues and Expats will (again) be in their sights. If anyone thinks that is wrong - then consider this reality. In Australia the single motherhood social welfare support payments were introduced on the basis of those in desperate need. Now there are 328,000 people receiving the payment, plus energy supplement, plus rent assistance, plus housing support and many other little benefits (free transpor, medical, clothing, etc etc.). Just the payments alone total over $9 Billion AUD per year. When you then add all the others it is estimated at over $12 billion a year. Do you not think single Mothers in Thailand will not jump at that deal? Why work when you get to stay home and receive all that support? And that is just the top of the iceberg - do you have any idea how many drug addicted people there are in Thailand who would all jump on board. Creating a welfare state in a 3rd world country will destroy its economy, and create irreversible changes to the social behaviour and cohesion that exists today in Thailand.

The Thai English teacher was offended because she and her other English teachers are failing at their job. The people in Myanmar and Laos are more proficient in English than Thais - WOW! Cambodia is worse - they are ranked last in the world according to the latest index on wikipedia.

Yes I agree - Pam Bondi and the Trump Admin in general had no idea how much fraud and cheating has been going on. Pam is seeming to be doing SFA - and that could be the case and she is just not up to the job. BUT it could also mean that she and her team know they do not have absolute Court admissible proof of any allegations she makes in the charges she lodges. We all know Nancy Pelosi is guilty of insider trading - but being able to prove that in a Court - no chance. We all know OJ Simpson was guilty, but they could not prove him guilty in Court. Perhaps - but that is illegal and would have resulted in criminal charges from them against the ICE Officers involved. If I recall, using a car in that sort of manner by Officers of the Law requires HQ approval because of the risk to those in the vehicles and others nearby, and other property. Even in a police pursuit in most States they have to get the OK to 'take out' the other car. I am not aware that ICE Officers even have a process in place to seek approval to remove a vehicle by force using another vehicle.

Probably too little too late - but at least they are trying. The real problem is the endemic corruption ingrained into the very systems themselves. IMO Thailand needs a complete reboot - perhaps that will happen after the election - but who knows how that will go - or if the change will be 'allowed'.

Stand corrected - in USA you are correct. In other countries it is a criminal charge - an act that causes a wrongful death - eg. killing someone while driving drunk. But in USA it appears to be only used in Civil cases and there it is either Murder or Manslaughter. In that case, there is probably not going to be a court case trial - if Manslaughter or Murder are the only available criminal charges.
