I have used one of those pump sprayers. So mixing with diesel is not that much different? It certainly makes a big plume of rolling smoke unlike the pump sprayers. Does that plume only contain smoke and not the insecticide to kill them?

I bought this same trap a few years ago but it turned out to be a fake and I sent it back. Since then, I've read mosquitos are not at all attracted to UV lights and that most traps are useless as is citronella. Perhaps the ones that puff out CO2 can work. I had a different UV light trap set up right next to the swarms and did not get even one mosquito. Maybe BKK mosquitos like those traps but mine don't. Well, I'm off to buy some spray cans of bug killer for the time being. It's really out of hand here.

I didn't find much using search, nothing current at least, thus my post. I have a lot of mosquitos. I think they breed underneath the house where the grey waste waters disappear. They swarm at the screens at night. Disturbing any storage boxes or bins in the carport produces swarms of them...100s fly up. Staying outside at dusk or later is impossible without bug spray. Of course, plenty get in the house, too. Anyhow, make fun of me, call me a sissy, tell me to move home...I don't care. Has anyone purchased recently a small-scale mosquito fogger that I could use to go around once a week and take care of this situation? It's very un-fun. I've tried emptying cans of spray but that gets expensive quickly. I prefer to do this procedure quickly myself, when needed, over trying to arrange with a service or the government. I'm a DIY type of guy. I've seen a variety of machines on Lazada but it's difficult to judge the effectiveness. One of the more pro looking guns mentioned having to mix diesel 3:1 with the killing liquid. Is that the best type to buy? Seems to me, the government guy that comes around sometimes does produce a slightly diesel smelling smoke so that might be a good sign. The one I looked at was about 2400 baht. Anyone with hands-on experience here? Thanks all!

If you buy from a local shop, you can develop a relationship with them. This will be a nice bonus for when the bike needs a tune-up or repairs or exchange or upgrade or what have you. Also, supporting local businesses is a very nice thing to do. I bought my bike at Chaitawat. It is an extra large frame..Marlin 7. Actually, too big for me...go figure. They don't speak any English, however. A friend of mine who is quite the pro on bikes was impressed with Velocity on Huay Kaew road. I've never been but he said one person spoke great English and knew his stuff. Good luck.

HI all, jumping into an older thread here. I'm on a retirement extension and my 90 days is (was?) due by April 7. However, I just skipped out to Kuala Lumpur and back to Thailand on 24 March. Is it true that this nixes having to do the 90 day report that is due April 7....as Foreverlomsak mentions? That would be just lovely! Thanks friends!

I don't know for sure but I would suspect that because you missed your 90 day report within the 90 day window (I think that's what you're saying), you lost that opportunity. I missed mine once but was close to a border and exited, paid the 4 day overstay fine, and re-entered without any long-term consequences. Needless to say, I was scared that I had screwed myself...lost track of the 90 days.

They def don't have any holes drilled in the walls/floor. Well, they are coming tomorrow. I have prepared the best I can, more so than the first time 3 months ago as I had no idea they would wash down the walls with the stuff. Will be washing the floors on Thursday, for sure. And will try to slow down their spraying tomorrow.

I'll bet the landlords don't do this in their own house to this extent. Sure, outside and in various dark/dank spots. But wholesale throughout the house doesn't make sense to me. It's living quarters. Not a garage. I just don't see any benefit spraying it all over the floor and walls except to impress the folks paying for the treatment. Certainly, I'm not moving. My question is can I ask them to tone it down a bit so it doesn't get all over my stuff or are they going to look at me cross-eyed?

Yes, it's a lot of work though. And still, it makes the house toxic. The fumes will clear but that residue is left all over the place. One of the issues is they spray that stuff like a drunk guy at a urinal. Um, no finesse.

Yes, I've actually had an oil painting on canvas eaten from the back. They do eat everything. However, I still don't get this idea to spray all over the inside of a house. After spraying, there are shallow pools of chemicals on the floor and of course the spray is on the furniture and everything in the house. I can't quite see what benefit it gives spraying along closed baseboards. Looks good for the owners, bug guys doing a thorough job, but the bugs are going to come from the inside...I would think.

...Morning, folks. My landlords are having the termite/ant guys come by again to spray for these buggers. That's great. But the last time they came, which was a first time for me, they came in the house and sprayed everywhere...in cupboards, under cabinets and shelving, all along the baseboards. So not only does it go all over my things I am also left breathing and touching that stuff. Is this the normal MO here in Thailand? I can see how the landlords care about protecting their house and less about my stuff and my health. But, of course, I care more about my stuff and my health than their house. I understand their position and they are great and I don't want to rock the boat. Just wondering if I can say, hey, can you please not spray that stuff everywhere all over the place with carte blanche.... Thoughts? Thank you!

I was pretty happy with that, too. My direct LDL was 148. The one two weeks earlier (that I guess was not direct, just normal test) was 174.

Got the coronary calcium scan and my score was zero so no calcium build up that could be seen.

I'm not a conspiracy guy at all but certainly companies make stuff up. The listing says imported from USA and that it has an FDA registration number...but there is no way to check if that number is real, from what I could understand. And, also, having a registration number does not mean it was tested or approved. Only that a registration number was applied for. On the package, it says manufactured and distributed by Maxwell company in Khorat. Which seems to suggest nothing was imported from USA but made in Thailand. I don't know how one could know if a particular whey protein is good or bad for you just from ingesting it. It might look good and taste good but how much protein is really in it? What contaminants might be in it? I'm kind of going down a rabbit hole here and not trying to knock down your recommendation...I bought some, too. Thinking about it just made me realize how much we take for granted, I guess. Where did this info come from that they import 25kg bags and then break it down into smaller batches? Cheers! Bam.
