    At this page: http://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/location3.html

Does it have to be on Saturday only?

  2. the re-entry is a big ripp-off... you already prooved and paid 1900 baht for what ???

the right to leave the country and come back in again ??? absurd...; but hey, this is crazy thailand and its rules, let us know we are only guests, even we bring in so much more than some tourists ...

Korea was the same. But, you could do it all online and print it out. It was quite easy.

  3. Frankly, I think the email the day before system in place at Suan Plu is probably more convenient, both in terms of being next day service and in terms of its location for a lot of folks. But at least it's a step in the right direction for CW...

Can you tell me more about this system? I am up for an extension on Friday. I'm going to CW with the guy who handles all of that for us at work. I am scheduled to go to America on October 8, so I want to know my options. He has already expressed that it would be easier for him if I dealt with the re-entry permit another time because he has to go deal with my work permit. I was thinking about using this service to make things faster for him, but if I can just go to Suan Plu, it would be easiest. I work about 5 minutes from there!

  4. Maybe not the right topic for my question, please move this if so.

Here in Nakhon si Thammarat, we have no RE-ENTRY for NON-IMM O what I know, but this IMMIGRATION changes the rules as often as a normal person changes his shirt.

So I've never heard of this RE-ENTRY. Please someone, if you have a link to this rule (if there is any oficiell online)

I'm not sure how you have never heard of a Re-Entry Permit. If you leave Thailand your visa is cancelled, and you have the joy of starting the entire process over again. In order to keep your visa, you need to obtain a Re-Entry Permit. A Single Entry Re-Entry Permit allows you to leave Thailand once and return on your current extension of stay. A Multiple Entry Re-Entry Permit allows you to leave Thailand whenever you want and return on the same extension of stay.

  5. Yes, my woman works at a 4 star hotel in Bangkok. I have used the services provided by the person arranging such things at her hotel. I have used these services for friends, family, and myself. Not a single complaint. Send me a PM if you want contact details.

  6. I know of someone who would not shut up about the standard of English in the questionnaire. The examiner approached his desk, took his paper, and tore it up. "You fail, come back when you can stop your mouth!" cheesy.gif

lol that would be funny to witness I must say.

I also saw something similar during the Teaching License Tests. I calmed the guy down before the proctor did the exact same thing. It was quite a scene.

  7. He doesn't distribute anything illegal. He provides information and links to people globally that have a choice to use the torrent files. The contents of those torrent files are none of his business. He provided a platform for sharing digital information. That's it. What people decide to put into the torrents is their own business. This is just wrong.

Suppose you were an artist, let's say a musician that has to feed his family just like any one else, you know?

I bet you would think differently then!

No, I actually distribute and share the materials I produce that accompany my job for free. I still do so feeding a pregnant woman. I don't think any differently.

  8. My girlfriend of 2+ years was just granted a visa. She had a letter from me, my boss, her work, and my mother. We had photographs of our home and relationship. She had bank statements for the last 6 months. The most critical of all the things she took were my letter, my passport, and my work permit. They went through every page of my passport many times. They cross-referenced everything in the letters with the passport stamps.

In other words, your relationship with her is going to be very important.

My girlfriend makes a modest salary of 14,500 / month. She doesn't own land. She has no car or motorbike. She had a blank passport. I thought the chances were slim, but I was wrong.

They tried to speak with her in Thai, but she decided English was easier because of his accent.

She was granted the visa. We are departing on October 8!

  9. There are shops on KP who are fair with repairs and don't require passport or some other forms of ID, but they need to "know you" first....

That is the key. You have to know someone or leave a sizable deposit! I don't hand my passport or deposit over at all when I visit Phangan these days. A motorbike is waiting for me at the pier. I've established trust with the people I deal with. Even though they don't require my passport, they would ask for yours. I have vouched for people and they have been permitted to rent a bike on the strength of my word. I certainly wouldn't vouch for someone I don't know.

  10. I'll probably get destroyed for admitting to this, but I have two cups of black coffee (brewed, not Nescafe). The, I make my way to McDonald's on the way to work and always order a Sausage McMuffin (without the cheese slice, no egg) and a hash brown. I grab a chocolate milk at 7-11 and eat at my desk. The only variation is that sometimes on Friday, I go with the Big Breakfast. I combine all of the ingredients to make a killer breakfast sandwich! Other than that, I tend to eat well. I am just a sucker for McDonalds breakfast.

Resume talking about musili now and tear me to pieces for poor lifestyle choices! I am not overweight. In fact, I am underweight.
